Why does FH think we wont be running the ball this year?

Henne is going kilted due the right side of the line looking a sieve, squashing Hillard on their way to Henne will be a side benefit.

High priced? I'm not following. Did we spend 8+ million on Deangelo Williams? Did we grab Ingram with the 15th overall? We traded for a RB who has ALWAYS been more dangerous in the passing game than in the running game. Then we drafted a kid in the 2nd round. Of course we are going to have running plays, but this IMO is no longer a run first offense. The only 3 RB's that had carries on the team last season are no longer on the team . . . we have to replace them with something.

Yeah, I didnt get the high priced either

We have one "Over-priced" scat back and a 2nd rounder....and then Sexy Lexy....am I forgetting somebody?

Didnt like the Reggie Bush signing, but I imagine it is by design. We WONT be running it up the middle very often. Once in awhile to keep teams honest, but even on 2nd and 3rd and one, we wont be running it up the middle.

Bush didnt run up the middle at USC (Actually he didnt even start there, LenDale White was the starter), and NO tried running him up the middle but it just didnt work, that's not his game...at all.

We will see some creative ways to get Reggie the ball. The thing that really baffles me is why the Fins didn't bring Ronnie back. Alongside Bush, that could be a pretty potent option, including Wildcat formation (I know, I know...flame on).

spread the field and run out of single back sets...this oline has shown that they're not just gonna move guys off the ball in the run game...we're gonna have to scheme ways to get our yards running the ball...and lining up in i formations with charles clay or lex hilliard as lead blockers isn't gonna do it

go single back with bush and daniel thomas

And play to our one strength on Offense. LOTS of very capable WR's. Give Henne as many options as possible and open up the playbook...actually re-write it all together.

What are ppl thinking? yes daboll is more aggressive, yes reggie bush is a good receiver but lets be real here, if you aint got a running game your offense is going to be seriously gimped. We acquired 2 high cost running backs in the offseason and ppl think we wont be running the ball? since when did chad henne become peyton manning? Time for ppl to wake and smell the coffee beans, we are running the rock heavily, no matter how good off a receiver reggie bush is.

Another issue, we release lousaka polite and all the sudden we no longer need a full back because of dabolls style of offense according to some FH members. Could it not be possible that charles clay has shown some good blocking and has shown he is capable of being our starting FB. Lousaka was great for us but got old fast. Unless we have a peyton manning back there i dont see why ppl think we are running colts type offense out there. Ludacris.

Like it or not we will be running less, and passing more. Plain and simple.

Well let's see, we ranked 32nd in ypc in preseason with a whopping 3.1....not a good sign...

yeah and the only game we had success running the ball in really with guys who will actually line up for us on sundays was against the likely worst run d in 2011 carolina panthers...they won't stop anyone i don't care if they put 11 in the box...that run d is in MAJOR trouble

Henne could get kilted and get hit in the Angus all day

Henne will see that rush from the Right and Step Up because Pouncey will at least block - also Henne is leaner a looks much niftier if not quicker

theres a first time for everything. New orleans never believed in reggie, miami obviously does. With that said, you cant compare us to new orleans, they based there offense around a hall of fame qb, theres no way we are doing that with chad henne even though he has so far looked good in preseason, just "good".

we have an idea if preaseason is any indication
on top of the moves they have made
and the owner wanting a more exciting offense..

30th in rushing per attempt in preaseason
1 of the top passing teams in preaseason

letting go of polite..adding reggie bush the leading pass catching back since 2006
rookie center learning...struggling offensive line that seems better suited for pass blocking..
even daniel thomas looks more confident catching passes than running it..

you got a coach who said we got to change our offensive philosophy
you got a fanbase that is struggling to fill up the stands do to the losing at home
and the ineptness on offense i don't know what they will do in the end though i do know
if they run the ball like last year it could get ugly..
