why not build around matt moore...

i actually like that idea, there are no qbs worth getting after luck and rg3 are gone, and i hope we don't trade our whole draft for rg3, i don't think he is worth it, just surround matt moore with some explosive players, we already have 2, kind of, reggie bush finish really good, and if BM could stop dropping the ball we will be ok, we mos def need that playmaker te, since parcells passed on jimmy graham, good move BP

Sorry but Matt Moore isn't going to fill up seats in the stadium, don't get me wrong I think he's a serviceable QB, but as far as Ross is concerned he wants a big name QB

Yes, let's build around a mediocre QB. Afterall, it's worked so well for us the last decade seeing as how we've made the playoffs consistently with a few Lombardis on top of it. Stupid idea.

Moore is a very good QB. He has the same skills as Joe Montana. I am not calling him the next Montana, but his skill set is very similar.

Matt Moore just needs some more weapons like Blackmon or Richardson, and a solid oline. Our running game was pretty good with only 2/3 of an oline. I think it will be great with good starters all the way across. Richardson is a definate upgrade over Thomas..a no brainer.
Bush and Richardson would be among the RB best tandem in football.
Blackmon would be just awesome if he falls. He would give us another talent similar to Andre Johnson opposite of Brandon Marshall. Our WR's would be among the best in football. Our TE position seems to be improved with Fasano and Clay, the third guy commits too many penalties. We should look to replace the 3rd TE.

Our problem are much deeper than the QB position. We have no head coach and no DC. Until we can get that settled, how can we know how to draft?

I am afraid that Ross and Ireland, eager to save face and appease the media and vocal fans, will do something stupid and pay too much to trade up for RGIII with the #2 pick. Fisher will have the last laugh again. It is all to predictable. RGIII might be a great player, but he is no sure thing like Cam Cameron. Just waiting for the next exploding cigar to go up in Ross's face IMHO.

Actually no, he's not a very good QB, and isn't in the same galaxy as Joe Montana. Matt Moore doesn't need weapons, he needs talent, something he's never going to get, hence why he'll always be a backup QB in the NFL.

As much as I would love having an elite QB manning this offense, we just might have to put pieces around Moore or some other free agent QB. Alex Smith is one of those guys that is a game manager. He's managed the game pretty horridly for a few years and then he gets a real coach and now Smith and that sick Niners D are heading to the NFC Championship game. Another QB that has a few weapons and is a game manager is Flacco. He also has the luxury of an amazing D that gets them to the playoffs every year.

If we have to go with Moore this team better find a way to be a top 5 defense.

Damn. You flyboys like to start early. Even though one of the best bloody Mary's Ive ever had was in the continental airlines presidents lounge in Houston.

Well to be technical I actually haven't stopped since last night.

I'm pretty sure Ross just want's to win games. Winning games is what brings people to the stadium. 'If you build it, they will come'

I agree with you. I would rather take an offensive play maker with our first pick and try to give Moore better weapons before giving up on him. He has a very good long ball, and he makes minimal mistakes

Really minimal mistakes. Take the blinders off. Take out 2 starts the ones against buffalo and KC where he went 6 td's to 0 int's. Here are his stats in the other games. 10 td's with 9 int's and he fumbled the ball 14 times losing 6 of them. That's is minimal mistakes?????? Even with tose two games he would have one more td than turnovers. That is not minimal mistakes. The guy has a quarter of the skill that Montanna had. The fact you compared the two as game managers is ridiculous. Joe Montanna was an elite quarterback system or no system. Moore is not good and has proven that in his 4 years in the nfl.

The piss poor offensive line had nothing to do with those fumbles, poor protection, QB/center exchange, and guards stepping on Moore feet?(sarc)...we still managed to win 6 out of 9 games....do you even watch the games?

Exhibit #1 that coaches do not matter(sarc).
Alex Smith was getting terrible pub and they wanted to run him out of SF. Frank Gore is what makes that offense go, Smith is a complementary piece. Harbough is using his players correctly.

In case any of you haven't noticed Weeden and 1 foot Tanehill are no where near brady or rodgers so why waste a pick on them and if we are not getting RG3 who isn't that good either or Luck why not just build on moore why are we going to waste picks of busts? RG3 or nothing and he isn't even a guarantee.

I disagree with you. Thanks for stopping by.

I hope youre not saying Henne is better than Moore...
KLoud - Moore has amazing hands not unlike John Beck - Henne is still the better player - so why not just put Henne back in there then

I do watch the games thanks. I saw your post that blamed the defense for his 3 losses. The defense was the reason we won some of those games. He is not good. He is careless with the ball hence the 14 fumbles and 6 ints. Yea must be some one else's fault. Come on. He was he same way in Carolina. If we don't draft a qb then I guess we will see. He will regress next year the same way he did in Carolina. Alex smith will not last another 2 years in San Fran because harbaugh will not accept serviceable qb play. Wait and see. Also look up the last 20 super bowl winners and see how many had serviceable qbs. 2 out of 20. But their defense were incredible. You need a great qb to win the super bowl, but I am not sure how much I believe in your opinion when you compare Moore to montanna

Yea lets build around matt Moore just like we built around Fielder. I have no problem trying to develop matt Moore but lets be smart like Carolina was and not throw all our eggs in that particular basket because matt Moore has not proven jack over a full season anywhere. We still need to draft a qb, damn have people learned nothing from our own history

Fiedler never had anything more than a #2 reciever,a great back and #2 tight end in mcmichael.the o-line was still the worse in the league,so how did we build with fiedler? NOW we actually have a team that has some great pieces and can only get better..you can't tell me that Moore despite how poor you think of him can't get better with a full off season and training camp knowing he is the guy...you don't have to be 22 years old or a high first rounder to win games..with good coaching the things he struggles with.pocket presence, holding on the ball too long can't be fixed with good coaching and commitment.you never know till you try.the a.j feeleies, ray Lucas,John becks of the world has warped our minds that a qb that's not highly touted can't succeed here...I am all for improving the position, but cam newtons and Aaron rodgers doesn't come around every year.
