Why not bring him up and give him a shot? he was talked about highly and after watchin his highlights, I liked his accurate throws, good decisions, and his prescense in the pocket...Instead of going out an grabbing an ancient quaterback like Sage why not see what Devlin is all about...who knows...he could be our Tom Brady ha

so...? we could still see what we got in him...heck if hes solid and wins us game...why not? i know everyones for the suck for luck thing, so why not give em a try? if he wins games then we made a good choice, and if he blows we get Luck...a win-win situation

Dont think this regime is ready to call it quits on the season and thats whats happening if Pat Devlin ever starts a game this season.

I'm not saying start him now, but at least bring him up on the active roster, so that when Moore sucks, and Sage is ineffective, then we bring him into the game. After that he will be our new starter once everyone sees what he can do. I don't know what's with the Sparono hate for Devlin, but Sporano gots to go already. Wasn't Sage our 3rd string QB when we were 1-15?

Like it or not, he is our only hope right now. We didn't draft a QB; and we didn't pick up any good free agent QB. We got lucky getting the #1 UDFA to take a chance and sign with us. If he is the solution to our QB problems then great! If not then we are still hopeless. Even if we draft a QB next year, he won't be ready until at least the following year. No reason not to give Devilin a chance and see what he can do in a game when Moore and Sage stink it up.

Enough of the Pat Devlin threads.

There would be a mutiny in the locker room if they started him. He cannot compete yet.

Pat Devlin wouldn't have started for the Hurricanes had he signed here. Couldn't get on the field at Penn State behind Anthony Morelli and Daryll Clark. Transferred to Delaware.

I have ALL the faith in Matt Moore. He got Carolina the first overall pick. He's been here before. He can do it again!

Cam Newton was not ready to start in the NFL either if you listened to what anyone said but he seems to be doing OK. Some rookies can make it their first year. IF we were to be fortunate enough to get Luck, he will be the starter from game one.

SO Pat Devlin is talented like Cam Newton? An undrafted FA is going to take the league by storm.

Are you Pat Devlin's agent? agent's clerical assistant? Aunt Jenny? Delaware neighbor? mother?
Doing a good job trying to promote Patrick, but your boy needs to show something in practice.

It's this regime trying to keep their jobs. If we're still losing by mid season, I say go with Devlin and don't look back.

Worry about the draft after the season.
