Why Not Promote Brian Gaine?

Brian Gaine is the only that come under the circumstances and give hope to the season ahead. He will take **** early, but once he tags Grimes, brings back Soliai, makes moves that make the line better and drafts players people like, the meter will drift to positive for the season.

The new trifecta in Miami would have all the incentive in the world to win next year. A new GM from outside the team might have a four year plan in place and not care much of building a team for now, but for his next coach.

I think Philbin is a lousy coach, but I am tired of not winning and want to next year.

Well if Philbin is a lousy couch Gaine wont be able to change much and wont be able to fire him.
If you hire Gaine esp if you are Ross then even if he does an Ireland type job you know he cant fire people.
So then we are stuck with the same path we have been on. That's why I want a fresh perspective that has the power to make a change if he deems necessary

Here is my deal: Lake Dawson and Dennis Hickey do nothing for me. If Ross hires them, then we are making a three or four commitment to an average GM.

If Ross cans Joe, but continues with the new GM, we might another forced marriage. At least with Gaine, the HC and FO are going to be on the same page...at least on the same chapter.

I thought you wanted Augustus Gloop? Man you hitch your horse to a lot of wagons!

You are not understanding me. If Ross is insisting on keeping Aponte and Philbin, then Brian Gaine is by far the best fit. Read my original post here.

Eric Mangini fits in simlar fashion except he has no connection to Joe. However, he and Aponte get along and Ross respects him. Therefore, it fits.

I want something that works now and not have a forced marriage.

I was interested in some power broker GM's early. However, like I predicted the new GM was not going to get power over Aponte or the ability, this year or next , to can Joe. Therefore, in the short term, the fins need a fit and not necessarily the highest remaining gM candidate.

Btw, Gaine is the best remaining and might have been better than anyone they have discussed the job with.

Don't confuse best fit and only fool willing to work under those terms!

It makes sense to me Hayden

Ross insisting on Aponte and Joe staying has boxed the owner in. One would think he would have learned from the same exact mistakes from the past. Obviously, not.

I think Gaine is talented though. He is our best hope.

No you said Augustus was our only hope.

Ummm, nope. However, he is a hope and there would be no confusion who is in charge. Considering Mangini has not been interviewed, it is nonstarter.m

I just respect the man's football knowledge and he ****ed the Pats dynasty
