The thing is, were we ever really told from the team that they would bring in competition for Henne? I don't think we really were, in fact we told exactly what is going on right now. I think the "Competition for Henne" was created by the fans and media and took on a life of it's own. I think Henne was always the plan.

Didn't really sound like anyone in the front office talked about replacing or even finding someone to compete with him. The plan all along appeared to improve the team around Henne and give him more weapons. They added Clyde Gates, Charles Clay, Mike Pouncey, Marc Colombo, Daniel Thomas and Reggie Bush. They are attempting to solidify the interior line, re-did the running back position and added speed with Gates and Bush, which was really lacking last season.
I know everyone says that Miami failed to live up to the promise of adding a QB to overtake or compete with Henne, but my question is, when did THEY actually say that? Not sure they did.
