Of the WR that you put on your "special" list. Chambers had more TD catches in '03 (11) than Andre Johnson has in his career (10). As many as Burleson has in his career (11), more than Chad Johnson in his best year (10).

As for Reggie Wayne, they were both drafted in the '01, Wayne in the first round to go play with Peyton, Edge and Marvin. Chambers in the second round to go play with Jay, Lamar and Oronde. So Wayne should have dominant career stats throught the first 4 years, no??

Chambers - 233 rec, 3478 yards, 14.9 avg, 28 TD

Good research and I still think Chambers should of been more of a consideration for Rookie of the year instead the NFL like literally blew Anthony Thomas and hyped him up calling him the new A-train and crap.

While interesting, I like the fact that Wayne has improved every year he has been in the league....while Chambers is up and down.

Who cares about it being preseason. Catch the pass. Win the game, what ever you assignment is. Doesn't anyone else get tired of "its only preseason".

I watch other teams in preseason and there are plenty that look completely ready to go.

These threads absolutely amaze me. What about the catch across the middle against Jacksonville where the safety limped away, not Chambers. The reason he has not broken 1000 yard mark is the QB's we have had. I have been to games. When we tried to go deep, the ball was either over or underthown. Poor Chambers would come back and pant because he was out of breath. Also, since he is our premier receiver, he is double-covered. Every time there is a bright spot on our team someone starts a thread to complain about them. We have bigger fish to fry (pardon the pun) than to complain about what is considered a deep position.:fire:

If chambers played in Marvin Harrisons spot on the Colts do you think he has the tools to have like a thounsand yard season get a good amount of touch downs and look like a superstar or a great player? IF not why? IF so explain?

Yes, I can see him having a monster year under Manning.

I just want Chambers to step it up a notch and catch those "catchable" passes....similar to the one his missed on Sat...on a more consistent basis.

The QBs tell part of the story....the dropped balls, similar to the one on Saturday, tell the other that everyone closes their eyes to.

I have a feeling we will always be looking for that "breakout season". Soon, we will realize he was a very good WR, but never a great one.

I realised that after his second year, and have been saying it ever since... more and more fans seem to finally be getting rid of the homerism and coming around to reality.

He is a Peeless Price... with a TRUE #1 on the opposite side, he could be very dangerous, but he will never be the go-to-guy play after play. He is not versatile and polished enough in the little skills that make the good ones great... he just lives off of superior athletic ability.

Yeah... a half decent quarterback with a knack for throwing the long ball. Chambers is a GREAT reciever whom has yet to reach his full potential. How good would Moss be on a team that can't throw the long ball?

I didn't misquote you at all. Your talking in circles and I find it quite entertaining. Your point of view is obviously the minority here. You say Chambers needs to step and this season will be his chance. I could care less if he can't haul in a poorly thrown pass in a meaningless preseason game. We'll see what happens when it counts.

I wish I can just sit down and watch the whole season of the Dolphins last year so you can notice he doesn't really drop catchable passes if anything he is known for his catching the guy makes amazing catches all the time.

Wayne was thrown at 128 times last year and caught 77 balls or 60.2% of the passes thrown his way.

Using this as proof is implying they have equal QB play, quality of passes, opportunities, supporting cast, and schemes.
