I think if we for some odd reason don't end up choosing a RB with the #7 we should get Derrick Johnson. I think he will be a beast in the pro's. Our LB's are alright now but to be honest Zach Attack and Seau are both on their way out. It would be nice to see a young talented LB in the mix.

In all respects I think we need to draft a RB at #7 but we wont be far off if we draft DJ!

what do you think?

I think IF we trade down with the Vikings and pick D.J. at #7 I'd miss the rest of the draft because I'd throw myself off my balcony and plummet to my death.

hmm...I say DJ would be good at 7 overall...but i'd like to consider mike williams or maybe actually trading down from 7 overall once again...there are better players in the middle of the 1st

hehe I forgot we had Spragan......

we def need to address our offense but I still beleive in drafting the best player... he looks pretty freaking good

If we wind up with #7 and #18, I'd hope for:

#7 - Cadillac Williams
#18 - Marcus Spears, Mark Clayton, or Marlin Jackson

Cadillac Williams with the 7th...unless Brown is there.

If he could be had witht he second first rounder he would not be that terrible of a pick, but at number seven we should be picking cadillac

Ba, Ba, BAMM :D

except for Jackson...

@ 7...either Williams (heck..If stuck at #2 I still take either williams with the preference on Mike..but that's me)

@ 18...I'm hoping Thomas Davis is still there. If not then Carlos Rogers.

Of course there's no telling who'll be left at 18 IF one or two teams trades up into the top 5. When / if that happens I think a lot of teams boards change around. And as I've been saying...likely too often....if we trade back to 5 or 7 my sleeper pick is Rolle. I still think Saban loves the guys measurables. Still don't think I want him that early but I'm not going to be suprised if we pick him.

ps....if we come out of this draft with Either Williams and Davis...I'm very very pleased. I've been touting Davis since last year...of course that was to a newsgroup back then but have since found this place and loved it. Thank you to all the members here who have helped make this one of the best "sports" boards I've ever been on.

At #7 Benson or Caddy may still be there i would like to get one of them. and if we get there #18 also i hope we take WR Mark Clayton. He is a great WR, plus also for the name sake.

Yes to DJ my Mock is falling together nicely if this happens MUAHAHAHAHA

To those of you who do not want DJ how about a reason? Is it because it will cause a flashback of the Wanny Era? Or is it because you dont like the scouts take on him.

For those of you that dont know what is being said on him check out this link about Defensive players that will make an immediate impact.

I wouldn't mind having DJ at all. I just think either Williams has a better/longer term effect on the team. Caddy I think has an immediate impact where as Mike Williams might also but I think his value comes over the lifetime of his skills....basically I think Mike Williams will have a longer career than DJ. Of course that's just guessing, I have no proof of that. I do however believe that a LB has a shorter career playing in 3-4 def than a 4-3. There was an article written on that a few years back when Pitt was dominating (still very good) and being the only 3-4 team at the time..until Carolina entered the league. On that note you could possibly uses Pitts LBs as an example...they dominate for a 3-4 year period and then MANY of them endure a littany of injuries. Of course, that's no definitive proof since all players are physically different but interesting none the less. blah blah blah.:)
