Worst Dolphin QBs of all time

In terms of investment the worse had to be Rick Norton who the Dolphins picked with their No 1 pick in that intial draft in 1966.Here are his stats.

The next would be AJ Feeley because a high second round pick was used to acquire him.

Neither of these two ever showed anything that would justify that type of investment.

It wasnt Feidlers fault that Wanny thought he was a starting QB and that he stuck with him even when everybody else realized he wasnt. He did the best he could with what he had.

Its ludicrous to call an all pro QB like Culpepper a bust who only started four games and could never reach his potential because of an injury that may have ended his career. There again its the coaches fault .They took a gamble on the wrong QB available IMO.

The other names mentioned were stinkers but did not cost us much investment wise. The coaches were as responsible as the players IMO.

There's no question it was Ray Lucas. The guy could NOT manage a game at all. We weren't looking for a new Marino or even a new starter, we were looking for someone to fill in for a few weeks while our QB was out with an injury, and in comes Lucas getting dismantled by teams like Buffalo who we should have BEATEN.

Have to Agree with the Gay Lucas pick. I'll never forget watching that game against Buffalo at Buffalo when the camera zoomed in on his crying face after throwing an interception. There's no crying in football. Especially for QBs who are supposed to lead a team.

You just answered the big debate. In terms of investment Culpepper clearly wins hands down as far as worst investment. He was paid big bucks and where has he been with the exeption of 4 terrible games. Whether he was injured still or not. Fault the coaches, fault Culpepper. There is plenty of fault to go around. But in terms of investment and games played for us. Culpepper was bad.

Rick Norton I can excuse. He was a expansion QB. Wherin we had to start somewhere. And being an expansion team. Its not likely we were ready to go to any big games. And besides had things not p[layed out the way they did where would the undeafeated season, Shula, Griese and others been had history been different.

besides fiedler

Jaworski because Shula cut Strock to get him and make him Marino's backup. Marino's mentor was cut for Jaws who was at the end of his career as well and brought nothing to the table above Strock.
