With Candiate and Gordon paving the way, it's a minor miracle that the Rams actually seem to have gotten the successor to Faulk in only three picks.

Both were horrible trades,Feely wont win the starting Qb spot and gordon is god awful.I wouldnt be surprissed to see gordon get cut.Remember Saban likes versatality and Morris will be our 3rd back He can play RB and FB.Gordon can hit a hole apparently hass fumblelites and sucks.Feely crumples under pressure and almost threw a pick.

The Rams took Atogwe with that pick, and the Browns took Charlie Frye with the next one. Either guy sounds better to me than Gordon does.

There were all kinds of QBs to be had...Charlie Frye, Andrew Walter, David Greene, and of course Kyle Orton (even though he went in the 4th).
We may have even picked up the same kid the Rams picked up, Oshiomogho Atogwe the safety out of Stanford. Truth be told, we may have grabbed Crowder with the first of our 3rd round selections, and then Frye and Walter would have been gone but we could have picked up Daryl Blockstock or Chris Henry, Richie Incognito, Justin Tuck, any number of CBs...

Miami could have also dealt into the first round with the second and the third (and admittedly other things) and moved ahead of Green Bay for Rodgers if neither trade had been made.
I really don't think Spielman was responsible for those deals (I think Wayne very likely heard some whining from Dave and suggested Rick do what he could to help Dave out), but they are easy to lament deals right now.
