This thread is funny. All year (and the last several, really), Tannehill has been relentlessy bashed as a mediocre or terrible QB, and now some are dreaming of what the team would have looked like with a new mediocre to worse QB.
The NFL rules are geared toward passing offense. Jackson is a far worse passer than RT at this stage in his career. He is a run first, throw second kind of player and will flame out quickly unless he gets that part of his game fixed by next season. RT was at least a pass first run second QB. Ironically, RT had a lot of leg and run talent, and one of the great mysteries for me will always be who or what took that part of his game away.
If Ross really wanted Jackson, that is all the proof needed that he needs to stay far away from all football decisions. As to Harbaugh signing an extension and being smarter, that isn’t an endorsement of Jackson. He knows full well it will be sink or swim and he could very well have a shot at another number one pick next year, or Lawrence in two.
