Depends:
People think salary cap hit is the issue - its not..He could be a one year commitment - pay him with cap room this year and make another decision next year.
Is it really a trade value issue? I mean if we got a second rounder that could produce the numbers he is likely to produce he would be at minimum candidate for rookie of the year. So he's likely right side up in that one year equation.
I think it comes down to attitude. Its hard to say. By the nature of his abilities and skills he likely would make everyone on the offense better.
Think Jackson and Wallace on opposite edges stretching defenses to their max. Think open running lanes. Think quick slants to counter blitzes. Think reverses for over aggressive defenses.
On the down side if things are sliding the wrong way - a guy like DeShaun creates questions, distractions, strife, tension.
I have experienced the Dolphin organization as having many wrong decisions over and over for a long time - keeping guys they should let go and vice versa.
Jackson would be a huge addition. Risky and bold but in our current configuration he would create such a dynamic change - that quick score and a pinned back defense.
I'd love to see the speed out there...
