T.O. is the aboslute best WR in the league bar none. Surtain is to 5 bar none.. Is Taylor a top 5 DE? Top 10 maybe. His valure to us and his value on the open market maybe 2 vary different things.
More importantly, the upside of keeping the pick for it's pure potential...maybe more than picking up an aging vet.

I think Taylor is top three, dont let the numbers fool you. Taylor is what the other teams plan for when they are gameplanning for our defense; he is double covered on nearly every play and he still manages to be an above average DE. The only two I could compare to Taylor is Freeny and mabey Simion Rice

Your right, actually there was a comment on ESPN made by chris mortensen stating they think JT is the best DE in the league due to his being the all around DE (Pass rush and Rushing defense). They showed clips of him being able to hunt down a running back that wasnt even in his area of containment.

alot of DE are usually good at one type of thing either being a pass rush specialist or a run stopper. This cat is both and thats really hard to come by these days.

Dont forget he can cover good too. Freeney, rice, strahan are not known to cover...
 
Sometimes there are certain things you just dont do--You dont trade Marino, you dont trade zach, and you certainly dont trade Jason. These are all characters that dont, or didnt want to be anywhere else other than here. Mark my words, if you trade him he will come back to haunt you.

Let's not forget that Jason Taylor was a third-round pick...

Guys, Jason Taylor was my favorite Dolphin prior to this season. But he's not getting any younger, his play is declining, and I'm getting sick of the old cast from the JJ-era who haven't won squat the last few years. I think it's time to move on and end that chapter in the franchise's history.
