No....because he isn't that good.

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's a head case who's soft. Can't be counted on when it gets tough.

No and it's a combination of the last two choices. He's not a good tackle and he will be a disruptive presence in the locker room.

No
Aside from the whole fiasco, he had his shot last year to prove he was good and he proved the opposite.

You know, if he was a first-rate LT, and I could convince myself of his mental fitness, I just might give him another chance. But his overall performance was very mediocre, and even if he was clean and sober, I'm not sure he could ever be any good. Add to that the risks in bringing him back (i.e. the media circus, the locker room dynamics, and what happens if he still sucks and I want to cut him now?), and it's clearly not worth it.

You and I have two very different definitions for the word "mediocre".

I voted Yes but my terms would be to sign him for the offseason, no guaranteed money, and try and make a roster spot. If he doesn't make it, then so long, dude.

As hated and possibly volatile as Martin may be, (I certainly don't like the guy either), let's not forget that the Fins had Incognito in a "leadership role". Just let that sink in for a second... What?

I think tossing Martin obviously Seems like the right choice up front; I'm not opposed to the idea at all, but it would have some repercussions. We have a piss-poor O-Line, a do-or-die year for Philbin, and a media nightmare. Martin may not have been a great player, but another body in training camp couldn't hurt. Plus, if the Dolphins can show that they can run an organization with Martin in it, and have him Not bullied for a period of time, I think it will redeem the franchise a little bit.

Now, if it's publicly made aware, on all media fronts, that Martin's the snake that all signs seem to point to, then No, I would definitely not take him back, and would cut/trade him ASAP.

Oh boy, so much to say so little time.

1. Martin can't play. He is nothing more than a short term bench player.

2. Martin is a head case and a serious one. We arn't talking a small time, he has minor issues, off the field issues etc. We are talking major psychiatric and suicidal tendencies issues.

3. Martin has destroyed the locker room and would basically be treated as a ticking time bomb. People that come to recognize they hold "control" or "power" over people in that situation tend to take advantage of it. (I.E. Everyone would be walking on egg shells around the guy, no one would be tough on him, coaches would be hesitant to critique or yell at him out on the practice field).

All in all, I think it's best for all involved to just buy out Martin's contract and either trade him to a team of his choosing (if possible) or just out right release him.

If he did play for Dolphins he would get booed by the home fans and swear he was bullied.

I was thinking that yesterday...the signs people would bring, opposing fans and fans of the Fins, the heckling and booing especially after giving up a sack. He'd cry right out of the stadium in the middle of a play.

Just wait till the trash talk starts on the field in games.

The question should be would the locker room and his teammates welcome him back and i think the answer is obvious.

Imagine his psychosis if he always walks into the room and it always goes quiet.
