WR Jarvis Landry may have been drafted as WR Brian Hartline's eventual replacement

By the way, has anyone considered that it is, in fact, Rishard Matthews who is in jeopardy here, and that Joe Philbin wants to run more 4, or even 5 WR sets like he originally planned when he got here?

I think Gibson and Landry on the field at the same time is exactly what this offense wants. Two guys who play physical football, understand how to get open, and can go up and get the football, and then transition after the catch.

This. Not every unproven kid is here to replace a more than solid starter.

He is overpaid would love to see him cut he has don't good things but nothing special

What was it that you did not like from Matthews last year?

Don't get me wrong, I think Brian Hartline is the one who is eventually in trouble here, but I'm not sure that Landry was drafted specifically to replace any one particular player. I think Landry was drafted because they think he was great value and a great fit for our offense, and they're gonna figure out where they want to use him as they work him in.

Why not keep them all ? We will probably go with 5 WR's so now that would be Wallace , Hartline , Landry . Gibson and Matthews/ Binns
Let the year play out and then we can decide who's the guys going forward.

Pretty much. The guys who should be ****ting their pants right now are Armon Binns, Damian Williams, and any camp bodies we bring in.

Practice squad for one or two maybe if that.

I like our WR group now. If anything we should be looking for a TE to replace Egnew. I'd bring back Keller if he's healthy.

Yep that's how I see it with the Landry pick. A lot of you like to deny it but Hartline can be improved upon. Landry can potentially fill Hartline's role with a better ceiling. Wallace's speed is too much of a commodity and his contract isn't flexible enough to realistically move him. When the time is right we should move that hefty contract of Hartline's and get back as much value as possible.

Most productive receiver. Only bit of leadership we have had for the past couple years. Dolphins would be stupid to replace him.

Unfortunately you're right. And I only say "unfortunately" because I really do like what Hartline has brought to us in production and attitude but ultimately it's all about the Dolphins.
