WVDolphan's Get Real - 2014 Season Preview

I miss WV from before he became a parody of himself.

There was a huge chemical spill in West Virginia about 9 months ago. The water supply there was entirely contaminated with methanol. :ponder:

If Atlanta can field just an average defense, then can be pretty good this year.

atls got no wr depth for god sakes devin hester is the 4th wr they get even one injury in that top 3 wr core they screwed and douglas isnt special by any means they got toilet lo lo as the starting tight end who will scare exactly no one stephen jacksons a figure head at this stage

the defense has nothing at dt other than corey peters coming off an acchiles two corpses on the outside in osi and biermann a lb core that is one of the worst in football...

coaching staff of dead men walking

i forgot the 2nd round pick dt who is basically already telling his position coach to f off

The added Paul Soliai at NT and Tyson Jackson as 3-4 DE. Trufant will be much better in his 2nd year at CB and also added Wilson. They could easily have an average defense.

i'd bet money teams will get them in the nickle on early downs and take solia off the field and limit a run defender like jacksons impact...space em out and expose their weaknesses...trufants solid the other corner can play alford too but it doesnt matter what you got back there if the guys up front cant get to the qb and the lbs are as poor as that unit...gonna be a lot of a frustrated osi and beirmann coming off the field after they get owned on the edge by solid tackles

they paid a ton of money for solia and they gave him nothing around him

All true, but thats all you really need to have an average defense. Nothing special there but they wont be giving up 28 points per game like they did last year. I expect Atlanta's offense to be better too with Julio Jones back.

i might go along with average if they had a difference maker on the edge...they are gonna have to blitz heavily to get to the qb which puts more pressure on a crappy lb core for one and the secondary as well...

that teams gonna struggle to get off the field on d...

Oh. Ok. 'Cause he was 159-262 for 1,687 yds, 14 TDs, 4 INTs in 7 games before he was hurt. They were 3-4. They went 4-5 with Kellen Clemens. That's improving a great deal?

Hill >>>> Clemens. Big difference. I was speaking of how they improved THIS SEASON when Bradford got injured.

And if they do have an average defense, they will win a ton of games. That offense is potent with Julio and Roddy White back at full strength.

Despite what Hoops says, Harry Douglas is a very competent 3rd guy and Devin Hester is going to make him eat his words.

While nobody is worried about Toilolo at TE, I dont think anyone is considering their RB strength to be Steve Jackson. Steve Jackson seems like he is pulling a Garrard at this point. No, what people need to consider and be worried about is that Freeman kid the Falcons drafted at RB. He will take over as the starter sooner than later and do a nice job in the process.

Any kind of decent play from the OL and the defense and Atlanta will be a force this season.
