WVDolphan's Get Real - 2014 Season Preview

i almost called my sponsor to resist the urge to read that mountain of monotony until i remembered the real ptsd i got from reading one years ago.

Some valid points at the receivers. i think your being unfair with tannehill considering the offensive line was a mess and may still be with the guard play..

douglas is a solid slot but he's not a gonna murder you one...hesters always been crap as a wr...they got two pretty much change of pace backs in the starter and the backup with undersized jacquiz rodgers and devonta freeman

Pretty fair assessment IMHO. I know I'm in the minority, but I understand the points you make comparing Tannehill and Moore. Neither IMO, are true franchise QB's - an arguement can be made that Tannehill is still developing and learning - and there is some truth to that. But I just don't see the killer instinct in Tannehill that Moore has. Moore to me is a true gunsligner. A high risk - high reward type that is always looking at pushing the ball down range.
They're both tough kids, display their own type of leadership and both have short memories, which are great traits to have as QB's, but both seem to have something the other doesn't have. If we could somehow take the better atributes of each and combine them, we'd have a hell of a QB.
To me the question isn't which one of these guys will win the most games playing their brands of football, but rather, which one of those guys truely fit the scheme Lazor has brought to Miami? ... and the truth is, at this point we don't really know. Nor do we really know how much pressure, if any, Philbin is placing on Lazor to play a certain QB over the other.
We'll see what happens.

Hill >>>> Clemens. Big difference. I was speaking of how they improved THIS SEASON when Bradford got injured.

Pretty easy to make that claim considering it won't be proven until January.

While WV does make some decent points in his post, there are other things in there that are obviously just trying to get some of you riled up.

Ahh to have goals in life....

Rams are 19-1 to win their division, the only team with better odds is the Oakland Raiders. Bet it up man, get rich!!

Philbin will be the playoff repellent..again. I want to see some toughness this year. I want Moreno channeling Ricky. I also would not mind seeing a flag for an illegal hit on Gronk early in Sunday's game. Just to how healed up he is. It's football, it happens.

OL-last year was a huge question mark, not so much this year IMO. Shelly Smith will have his share of mistakes, but nothing that will kill this team. Therefore, not a huge questionmark.

I disagree w/ your predictions. Falcons will not win the NFCS. Saints will.
.

:rotfl1::rotfl1:

Falcons win the Super Bowl???

Falcons. Really?

Falcons win the super bowl............

The Falcons are horrible, terrible defense and bad oline, no Tony Gonzalez to bail out matty ice. They will finish last in there division again this year.

:lol2: Your prediction was expected to be bad, but the moment you put the Falcons in the SB with the amazing melting QB, that is the moment it went from bad prediction to a fantasy you seem to be under that could become dangerous if you don't reach reality soon.

the falcons are front runners...for a new front office in 2015

atls got no wr depth for god sakes devin hester is the 4th wr they get even one injury in that top 3 wr core they screwed and douglas isnt special by any means

douglas is a solid slot but he's not a gonna murder you one...hesters always been crap as a wr...they got two pretty much change of pace backs in the starter and the backup with undersized jacquiz rodgers and devonta freeman

I was able to watch part of that game today. Ryan was outstanding.

Nobody doubts Matt Ryan in the regular season. For whatever reason, whether it's he or his team they don't get it done in the playoffs.

If you're giving to gloat, you should also show the box score for the Rams game...

Melty's pre game motivational internal dialogue:
"I have Julio back and can again depend on him and Roddy carrying me cuz there's no pressure at this point to win or go home. I've done it before with my allstars-at least in season and I can maybe get them past game 16 again if my elite players stay healthy. And THAT'might take Mr Black's mind off paying me over $100mil for one barely-eked out playoff win. "
