Yahoo says Harbaugh to Fins/Michigan because players are disgruntled

Yesterday about 15 minutes before the Fins game on CBS, Jason La Canfora talked about Miami going after Harbaugh and possibly making a trade for him after the season. In the background you could hear Cowher and Boomer just laughing at JLC's silly rumor.

Really? My cousin is a die hard 49er fan and he hates Kap. Says he's awful in the pocket. Kap is Haurbaghs guy.

Kaep is dumber than a box of rocks, and yet he's been productive for Harbaugh.

Go figure.

If Harbaugh is creating dissent in SF why would we want him? Haven't we had enough dissent in our organization for the past several years?

For years I heard fans crying "We need an offensive coordinator that is going to open things up a little and leave the smash mouth power football style behind us." Now Less than one month into our new offensive coordinator reign there are already people saying Miami should sign Jim Harbaugh, one of the few run oriented offensive head coaches left in the league.

I feel an article coming in a day or two with Ross denying this.

Lately due to a run heavy offense with lots of read option. He dumbs down the offense. We don't have the personnel for that scheme

 Thank you.

How can you not love that? Worst case scenario is that we get entertaining sideline antics as we bumble through another losing season.

But that's unlikely, because Jim Harbaugh is an awesome coach.

The flavor of the moment. In time this fan base will stay true to its colors, and run him out of town too.

I hate that whenever I see him whining about a call. Its obnoxious and usually he's complaining about a good call that went against his team. Hes a good coach but his antics are really annoying

Would be another complete rebuild to accomplish the trench warfare he employs.

So long as we dont give up our first round pick to get him, i'll be ecstatic.

Perhaps, but the 3 years the players would love him would probably be frigging amazing. My main reason for bringing him in: we'd finally get competent play at the quarterback position. After all the crap we've gone through, thats pretty much my only concern at this point.

I don't consider Kaepernick competent

This will all change when Phibin wins a Super Bowl this year!!

Don't know why anyone would be excited to have a coach the players don't like. Harbaugh's personality rubs people the wrong way after a while. They've had a lot of success in San Francisco and they still don't like the coach...it would happen here eventually and then all you guys jumping for joy would end up turning on this guy just like the players in San Francisco.

The 70s Dolphins weren't exactly enamored with Shula, either. Remember the story about how the players put a live alligator in Shula's shower and he only won by one vote to have it's mouth taped shut? Csonka has said more than once that he thought Shula was "possessed" and a "devil." Dick Anderson says that Shula was "a miserable SOB... and that's if you won." And he wasn't easy to deal with if you were in the front office, either, which is why he eventually pushed guys like Joe Thomas (who built those Dolphins), George Young and Bobby Beathard out the door.

Why did it work? Because everyone respected him, that's why. Because he was an unbelievable coach.

And the same is true for Harbaugh. Even if he's a volcano that will eventually blow... wouldn't you take the last several years the 49ers have had in the bargain? Isn't that in fact a great ****ing bargain? This hand wringing over Harbaugh's relative faults are an absolutely classic case of ridiculous over analysis. Especially from Dolphins fans who've been living in Analprolapseville for the last decade plus.

Now, given my druthers I might prefer Malzahn. Might. But I'd dance the Mamushka on a volcano if Harbaugh became the guy.

Unfortunately, I don't expect either guy to come here. As I've said many times, Ross is a "D" owner. Landing Harbaugh is an "A" move. Expecting Ross to pull off an "A" move is like expecting somebody to walk out of the stands at the Olympics before the 100 meter dash and win.
