Yermiah Bell to be cut

Unless we are hoping to resign him, why wouldn't we look to trade for a draft pick? His performance declined last year but I am sure a lot of teams would be interested in him.

Well, no.

By far our most expensive player in the secondary... Yes.



Great guy. Good run stopper...hell, he should be playing Linebacker instead of Safety to be honest.....but a Safety that couldn't cover a lineman in pass pro is a HUGE liability in today's NFL.

Nobody is going to trade for a 34 year old safety who's lost at least a step and is scheduled to make like 5 million dollars next year.

Your opinion is in shambles. Seeing as Bell couldn't cover ****.
 
this is again one of those things that is a move that probably should be made, but the lack of options to replace him due to timing make things look bad.
 
Our new DC had some really ****ty safety's in Cleveland including Gibril Wilson and Crocker both Fins castoffs and did ok so maybe he has a plan.
 
Old player. Lost a step, and has always been a liability in coverage. Judgin by the timing, it looks like Reshad will be SS
 
Not a bad move actually. He can always come back at a lower price. Doubt it though. I guess we're going to add depth via the draft here.
 
I was never a big fan of Bell, so I'll live. This isn't a bad move.
 
So they waited for the Jests to get Landry? Wouldn't be a bad idea.
