Your move, mr.hickey

Once we finish building the o-line and get a RB, I believe the passing game issues get resolved. I do think we need another vet a CB. Would prefer NOT to sign Cromartie. His pass interference/unnecessary roughness penalties are going to infuriate us. He went from being a physical player to a dirty player.

These moves dont concern me. Grimes wont have a problem with Decker and pats will most likely stick Revis on either Clay like they did with Talib last year or Wallace. That leaves 3 other targets that they still have to cover.

Laughing at your post....The Jets are irrelevant right now...If Miami successfully fixes the o-line they will become relevant and blow the Jets off the field twice.

haha, the only reason Miami has been relevant at all in the last decade is b/c of a bullying scandal btw grown men.

The full picture is a bit more than 2 games

The full picture is he didn't get the job done w/ more than enough talent to do so.

Talking about "collapses" in '11, with his team 8-5 on his way to a likely postseason having only to face 1 winning team (Phlly9-7) out of 3 including the then 5-10 Fins, buttfumble, a 3rd year QB lost all by a cumulative differential of -43pts, a 56% completion, 5TDs 7 Ints, and a sterling 60.3QBR. But we don't talk about that, do we?

And Decker, you know that if it had been us who signed him, we'd be hearing all about "fantasy numbers" considering how empty he came up in the biggest game of his career (1 catch 6 yards) and his generally undistinguished prior part of the post season including 2 catches and 32 yards vs SD...despite being thrown to by an all time great QB putting up the most prodigious single offensive year in league history :idk: I mean it's not like even the first or 2nd best CBs were covering him with the Thomas'es and Welker on the field.

Junc sounds like he did when trying to rationalize Rex's inspired hiring of The Meatball, where he kept repeating the mantra that as a defacto OC for Dallas, (basically with much better players and 66% of the yards being produced by Todd Haley's receivers), that the Cowboys were the 6th rated offense that year. LOL.

Bottom Line: the team that knew Decker best and has already spent $64million on free agents didn't even make him an offer. Again, if we had signed him as our #3 receiver, who here doesn't think we'd be hearing about "fantasy numbers" over and over again???.

He didn't play well in the last two games of the season but he delivered in many more. He beat 4 of the 6 teams that made it to the AFC playoffs last year. How many did Geno beat?

If...and this is a big "IF"...the fins can manufacture a running game, the Revis acquisition will have less impact on Fins. But if we're constantly in 2nd and 9 and 3rd and 11 like last year, its gonna be ugly. Hickey has yet to fix the running game....to help Tanny.

he beat? in a close game your D **** out Luck and Indy on the road in the 4th qtr when he's the best 4th qtr QB in the league.
at Cincy, your D scored a TD and then won the game in OT w/ a safety
vs. NE he played great
D held SD to 16 pts

Geno and the Jets didn't beat 4 but they prevented Miami from making the playoffs by beating them in week 17 when Geno was much better than Ryan.

Since you were hanging the week 16-17 losses on him, I figured I would give him the entire credit in the wins.

hey junc, are you high???? you think the jets are the main challenger to NE.. jet fans never cease to amaze

Here in the No Spin Zone, Reality always trumps partisan spin and hypocrisy Sorry :idk:

is it crazy to think the 2nd place team from last year that was extremely young and has a boatload of picks and cap room to improve would be the next best team again?

I don't think any of us are challenging NE, the battle is for 2nd place and I think it will be the Jets again.

and russell wilson outplayed peyton in the superbowl so obviously wilson must be better.. Junc, give it up. if you would take geno over tannehill right now then you should give up football

Wilson is pretty damn good by the way. I'd trust him in a big game over Peyton any day.

Don't confuse my comments, Ryan was much better than geno overall last year and I'd rather have him. I don't feel confident either one will be great but I do feel good knowing how bad Geno was and we still finished ahead of a more talented Miami team.
