Zach Overrated: People starting to take notice.

I have always thought Zach was a great player and personified the Dolphins defense for many years. But at this stage in the game I wouldn't be upset if we trade him for picks next year.

It wouldnt surprise me at all to see Zach traded or released in the next year or two, but not because he is "overrated", but because his cap # will be too high.

Also, as bad as JJ and Wanny were...the comment about them knowing Zach wasnt very good but they played him anyway to "cultivate a superstar".....well, thats just ridiculous.

In what 11 games? he was able to still get 145 tackles. He is anything but overrated. And he can do a mean flip

Right now, TODAY. Zach is the best MLB in the game. Lewis is a stud and so is Urlacher. So is that punk in Buffalo but there isn't anyone better then Zach even if you think he has lost something.

Dr. Dolphin 24/7

Pete Prisco the editor along with Blackthought rolf, who wrote this piece of crap couldent hold zacks jock strap

Great for the 4-3 Zach is.............. extremely questionable on any other he is.

hell, overrated/underrated lists are overrated. lists of players that the author of the list likes but... oh, er uh not as much as other people do - and then the opposite goes for the underrated list. zach's entire career has been an overachievement as an underrated player coming into this game. it's not up to pete prisco of all people to determine who's rising and who's falling. at one time, he or someone else at cbssports built him up to this very level in question.

One thing is for sure, the Dolphins need a shiny new hero very quickly wether it be at QB, MLB, RB or whatever.

When has Zack ever lead the league in tackles?

I keep hearing u guys mention that argument but when was it?

I honestly don't remember.

The fact of the matter is that he is overrated. However, he it's nice to have someone like him on the team.

His job is simple the defense is designed around him making tackles. So he does it.

My 2 beefs on Thomas is this.

1) He gets most of his tackles after the line of scrimmage.
2) He is hardly ever there in the 4th quarter in a crucial time of the game, or he is never the one making a stop on 3rd down before the 1st down marker. He is normally the one that the FB is planting into the ground. The biggest example was the MInnesota game. He had Culpepper stopped 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage all he had to do was bring him down. Culpepper ended up going 3 yards past the line.

9 times out of 10 when he makes a tackle the ball carrier always picks up extra yardage. Very seldom does he drive someone back.

I could care less if you make 30 tackles a game especially if they are 7 yards downfield. MAKE them when they count like Tedy Bruschi or Ray Lewis heck even Dan Morgan makes more tackles to stop a 1st down conversion the Zack.

I will not call a guy elite just for making 20 tackles a game especially when 15 of those were in the 1st half.

You said it better than I could. Not to take anything away from the guy, but he's a liability when he's not protected and free to roam and make tackles just due to his size deficiency.

I think Zach is taking a lot heat about being over rated. We have to remember that his DT's were gone for a good chunk of the year, along with Seau. This meant that centers like Mawue excuse spelling out of New York, could just key on blocking Zack right out of the play. He has slowed down a little, but his heart his still running from side to side line. He will have a better support group in the front seven, that as a group they should shine, once they get used to playing together. Kick @ss Zach!
