Tale of two different defenses....one stepped up to the plate and the other one didn’t. NE had to start their 3rd string QB yesterday so what NE needed was for their defense to step up and win that game for them.......NE allowed zero points to a lions team that had been scoring a lot of points.
The Dolphins were starting their backup QB and after one play they had to play their 3rd string QB so we needed our defense to step up and win the game for us but our defense laid an egg and the jets with a young QB scored 40 points.
Do I blame the whole loss on the defense? Of course not but we needed them to step up and they did not. Yes I know we were missing our corners.....one hasn’t played this season but we won our first 3 games......Howard has not played well this season and that's a fact.
Plenty of blame to go around but if ever there was a game for our defense to take over the game it was this one and they did not. Pathetic tackling and receivers open all over the field.
