2024 Salary Cap Update

Who calls the cap number, Goodall? Ownership committee?

Also, that article mentioned a "smoothing" of the cap, in effect saving for a rainy day perhaps? I read somewhere that the owners and the NFLPA agreed to keep the cap from spiking too much in any particular year with a 6.5 to 7.5 % growth as the goal. The main argument being to keep it fair for potential free agent classes going forward, nothing like being the guy who finally gets to FA the year after (or before) a year where it spiked 20% and you're stuck at 6.5%.

The NFL got all those Swifties as new fans now!
$19bn business, they'll take every ducat they can, but she ain't pinning the needle. By the way, what happens when she's winning a Grammy for the "breakup song" and Swifties are burning T. Kelce in effigy and organizing picket lines?

Maybe Kelce will start dating Selena Gomez as a rebound. Or, if he wants to be progressive, he can marry Pitbull. That would be great for the Dolphins.

This helps the dolphins, but also all the other teams if they want to make offers on our FA's. :ffic:
That's the truth. Suddenly we aren't as close to the edge as we were, but every other team is also bringing home the bacon. It helps overall salaries, but does nothing for any particular team. IMO
