I agree. Harris has some impressive quick twitch burst and aggressiveness to him. I could see him being the best pass rusher. BUT...his run game is weak at the moment. His size doesn't help him in that regard.

Yeah, at least initially I think he's a pass rush specialist. Then you hope he can develop in the run game, but I absolutely think he's worth the #22 pick with the ability to be get 10+ sacks a year.

This is exactly why I pray Reddick or Foster falls. Or draft a bada$$ DB. I'll even take Watt. Just not a 2nd rd DE

Ill agree to disagree on reaching for a DE. I think its fair to hav mixed opinions on the des but most of them are first round prospects no matter what. Now I think its fair to have differing opinions on the pass rushers but this is the year to grab one early

That is a great nickname. Now he needs a song to match it. I personally like that both Willis and Watt have more well rounded games, but I'd be good with Harris because I think he can be that elite type pass rusher.

Ya I totally understand yours and manys POV.

I am just afraid we take an unneeded risk to fill a "need" we probably could get in the 2nd.

I just hate picking players that will have no immediate impact in the first round.

I know everyone loves Willis but tons of mocks have him going in the 2nd.

That's what I'm afraid of.

I know the coaches and staff have physcially seen these guys up close and blow our knowledge out of the water.

I'd take Taco over most the DEs besides Barnett. Tak, Willis, and Harris just feel like we're reaching.

Some swear by Willis so I'll lean towards him over Tak and Harris. Harris sure does look the part.

But yes, agreeing to disagree is what we all should do rather than argue. I respect everyone's outlook and I could be totally wrong. I hope I am.

Problem is he is horrid vs the run which could take him off the field on early downs thus negating the impact that a 1st rd defender should have as a 3 down player.

certainly aware your not a fan of our front and alignment was poking the bear a little but it makes perfect sense if were behind the 8ball stopping the run already lets draft a guy who by all accounts is horrendous in that aspect of his game.

Ya, this is a pretty cool thread to look back on. It is almost a carbon copy of what I am seeing by posters now that he was selected. Definitely a good call as I was not thinking Harris at all, but like the pic!

He's been saying for months that the Dolphins' pick at 22 would be a DE. I mentioned this before, but when Armando said that, I took it to mean that we would grab at DE at 22.

Because he's been all over the draft for a few years now, and his intel has been especially good since Mike T. came in the building.

Not disagreeing with you totally, but the only place I see such high praise for him is on this site! No mocks (maybe 1 ) have him in the first. I've not heard his name on NFL Channel or ESPN. Why is it Fin Haven is about the only place talking up this guy? (for the record I watched tape on him. I do like him)

Really? I think Dolphins fans seem to be way less enthusiastic about Charles Harris than most draft 'gurus' I've read, and what fans of other teams have been saying.

yeah agreeing with Wanny. FH is probably the place most down on him. Most pundits like the pick as do pretty much all the Dolphin twitter guys (CK, Boomer/Simon Clancy, MattyI, Matthew Cannata, Joe W, Max Hemmerleich)
