Forget the bench – Miami Dolphins’ Davon Godchaux closes in on starting role

Don't underestimate Ndamukong Suh's assessment of the rookies. He knows what Jordan Phillips can do as a teammate, but if Godchaux is playing well, Ndamukong will probably not be shy in sharing his opinion with the coaches. The fact that Godchaux has had such a good training camp is great news.

If Philips can come off the bench and be effective having less plays and responsibility and let Godchaux be the starter then so much the better. Not everyone is slated to be the starter. We need depth and as a depth player Phillips is fine.
