Franchise Landry is the right move.

You don't franchise slow, non-playmaking receivers. We would be taking too much of a gamble franchising him & not getting anything more than a 3rd for him. Just let him go & take the compensation pick next year.
 
This deal is not killing us its all the deals we should have made thats making this an issue. We should have resigned Landry last year cheaper. We should have drafted a better player than Carroo to replace Landry. The list goes on with a inept front office which is not Laundrys fault. You keep your playmakers until you draft their replacements then you trade them. Don't whine about a player making more money when its the staffs job to make hime expendable. Everyone should be throwing darts at the organization.

a one year franchise is fiduciary responsible, there is no signing bonus and you actually can then fit him next year as there are huge salaries that can be released in 2019. You can save $70M if you cut in 2019:

How do you figure? The only way you don't get a compensatory pick for him is if Miami is a big player in free agency themselves. He should have been traded at the deadline this season. I would not pay him.
 
So sick of hearing about this "heart and soul" talk. Landry is a good slot receiver willing to walk to become the highest paid receiver in the league.

Missing a key thing. Landry is a proven playmaker unlike Kiki, Branch, and Timmions. We overpaid trash. It's ok to overpay your best guy

Landry has alot of qualities, but a playmaker he is not...
 
We overpay for everyone, that is the reason why we still stuck in mediocrity. Set the price and let Landry walk if he doesn't want it.
 
If this team can replace Jarvis will someone like James Washington to man the slot, then by about week 8 you’re going to forget who Jarvis Landry is.
