If Jason Allen develops as the CB opposite Will Allen...

i would love to see us get Darrius Heyward-Bey i love this kid i am from maryland and i watch him week after week he is gifted and is just a dominate receiver and just shows that he is physical and can flat out play in a few years i think he will be the next big star in the nfl.

Maybe you should show atleast a slight grasp on english grammar and punctuation before attempting to talk down to someone, don't you think?

Fact is our passing attack has been pretty limited up until today. How much of those pass yards came from WRs and how much from the backs and TEs? Today Ginn had a good game, but where was he, and all the other receivers, up until now. Its foolish to look at one game and think that our need at WR is gone now. WR is still very much a need for this team......
well acually ginn has been wide open in the endzone waiving his arms in the air for penny 2 see him.i think penny got so much heat for never seeing ginn open that he made sure he got ginn the dam ball.

with our first pick I think we should be OLB/ILB like Orkpo/selvie/ray...or WR like crabtree

I saw a complete game of Crabtree for the first time this weekend...I'm sold...This guy is incredible. I have been watching about 6 college games a weekend this year...and no single player has stood out like this kid. IF CRABTREE IS THERE...YOU TAKE HIM...PERIOD.

i dont think we will be able 2 draft crabtree cause he will defintly be a top 5 pick.but if we have the chance 2 package our 1st rounder with 1 of our 2nd rounders and trade up 2 grab him i would do it in a heartbeat.

I'm hoping he falls a little because a WR is not normally picked in the first 5 or so...

The main thing is we know our needs now...and this year we will be able to take the best player at ANY of those positions...unlike last year where we were forced to take Long (not that he hasn't played great...but our hands were pretty much tied...)

I'm inclined to think we will go DB or LB in the first round, but I'd rather approach it like this:

These are the positions we will NOT be drafting in the first 3 rounds: TE, LT, RT, C, DE, Long Snapper, PK, Punter, QB, Return Specialist, RB.

Basically leaving us WR, CB, SS/FS, Fullback, RG, LG, ILB, OLB, NT.

Biggest need on D: CB, SS/FS.

Biggest need on O: WR

Everthing depends on where we draft and who is left on the board when we pick. We need to go BPA at needed positions, any of the above will do.

I expect we will be picking between 10-20 (yea, maybe I'm being homerish.)

Maybe we will trade up, maybe we will trade down. I'd be surprised if we didnt use our first round pick on the secondary (including LB), but if someone slips I dont see why we wouldnt steal him.

Unless Terrance Cody enters the Draft, I would go CB in the first round. Will Allen, Andre Goodman, and Michael Lehan all suck. This team needs better CB's. If Jason Allen develops into a solid CB, then rock on. But we gotta draft some CB's.

Unless the CB is lights out, do not pick in the first round. It will take too long for him to mature and or contribute without costing us (example: Jason Allen). Trade for, or pick up a decent CB with experience and then sign a rookie to groom.

the other thign is also that penny has also been slowing down the WR. so if with henne they perform well we might not be as desperate for starting WR as we think. I think we need 1 starter opposite Ginn and a coupel for depth but thast about it.

The way he is playing right now, I can assure you Pennington will be our starter next year...It's all about leadership and smart plays- He brings that

Thats what Ive been saying. Him or Heyward BAY!

A strong pass rush will make an average secondary look good. So, we dont have to draft a corner in the first round. Besides, theirs really good corners in FA.

We have to pick Crabtree if he's available. The dude is a man beast and is the receiver we need.

I say best rated CB, NT or WR. Corner being the pick if all is equal.
