Is it me?

I can only speak for myself, but for me, the Patriots haven't been good long enough for me to sincerely HATE them. Dolfans who hate the Pats are just jealous because the Pats haven't broken our hearts enough times for me to say that I hate them. For now, I simply admire the franchise for what they've been able to accomplish.

The Bills are a TOTALLY different story. The way they owned us in the early 90s was more than enough to make me hate them. Hope that clears things up. :)

Jealousy? Speak for yourself. Pats haven't broken us? They have kept us out of the playoffs the last two years with an overtime victory, and were the benefactors of a complete collapse. They get every break in the book, while we get none. Then they eek their way to Super Bowl victories. Sure, they deserve credit, but still I despise them. You can go ahead and admire a franchise that has pushed our faces in the mud and gone on to glory.

As for the Bills, we were never in the same league with those 90's teams, talent wise. Every one who knew football knew they would beat us when push came to shove. Plus, they never went on to win a Super Bowl, and ill feelings towards them were mitigated by there utter failures in the big game.

These doesn't even mention the Pats knocking us out of the 85 Super Bowl. I think there is plenty of history to warrant a good, healthy hatred of that franchise.

What is it that you hate about them? Or is it just a hate kind of thing because of what they have accomplished as your rivals?

I really think they are a likeable team from the owner, to the coaches to the players. The only guy in the org. that I dislike is Ty Law. They personify their HC who has zero ego (or at least doesn't show it in public).

Quite the opposite, of say, the Ravens and Billick. If you listen to them, you'd think they were still the defending champs.

If you are talking about the smack talking fans, well thats a different story. But those are not true fans that were around when the Pats were a laughingstock organization that played in a HS level facility. Watching those Pats on tape in that stadium keeps me humble. :)
What you said...

I don't think most Dolfans HATE the Pats...we're just jealous of your success. They are a likeable team though. If they weren't in our division, or better yet, in the NFC, I'd root for them.

Likable guys? What do you know about them? We don't know these athletes, they may be more likable as a group than the Dolphins, but who cares? That's not what being a fan is based upon. Perhaps you are a fan who roots for the highest quality guys, let me know how you do your research.

Sure, they've broken our hearts twice in consecutive years, but that's only 2 years. Remember how the Bills owned us for years...the '92 AFC Championship Game (Thurman left, Thurman right, Thurman up the middle, the screen to Thurman, etc...), the '90 wild card game, the '95 wild card game, Don Shula's last game...some no name RB rushed for over 200yds...there's so many more to mention.

My hatred for the Bills stems from all those heartbreaking games over the course of many years.

This is a pretty good thread! My feeling is the reason why Pats + Dolfans can get along is because we were in the same boat till they won there first SB! So it like we can both relate! We know now how they felt before that when they were 5-11 (because 5-11 + 11-5 isn't much different if you don't win the SB! No one feels good no matter the record if you don't win it all!) and they can relate to how we feel now after not making the play-offs the last two years!
Either way you look at it both teams aren't the Jets and that's all you need to get along! :D The hell with all NY teams!!!

More like Bledsoe picked, Bledsoe sacked! Moulds down with a hammy! Oh no Mcgahee with another broken leg!!! :roflmao:

I actually was rooting for the Pats last season to win it all and represent the AFC East once we go eliminated. I can't imagine rooting for the Bills and I know I will always root against the Jets. I want the AFC to win the SuperBowl every year but if somehow the Jets were to make it I would want them to be embarassed. Unless they play the Eagles b/c being near Philly I think I hate Eagles fans more then anything.

[Taking aqua and orange sunglasses off]

Yeah....it could happen. Moulds will be healthy this year, and that's never good news for the opposing defense, and Lee Evans is a burner; however, you better hope that Losman is the answer because Bledsoe has been our lil hoe ever since he came to the NFL. :)
