Jets Cheating too?

The dolphins were an elite NFL franchise for over the course of 3 decades and have been bad the last ten years. The jets have been one of the biggest jokes of a franchise throughout the course of their whole history.

LOL Same old Jets

I'm not trying to prove anything just trying to bring dolphin fans into this Century rather than living in the 70s.

Do you really hate Dolphins fans that bad that you want them to see what is going on with the Dolphins right now. That is like bringing a coma patient back just to tell him his whole family is dead and his dog has cholera.

70 Colts opps went 68-119-9
72 phins 69-123-4

1 less win but 4 more lsoses, how does the 72 teams opps have a better win %? Putting that side they faced ZERO playoff bound teams and played only 2 games against teams w/ winning records(each was 8-6) so how is that better than facing 3 winning teams including 2 games against playoff bound teams?

If you factor in the double opponets play in the division (which is wrong, SOS is based off ending records so each team should only be wieghted once in this equation, it doesn't matter who you play just what the final record was of the opponet was at the end of play, 13-1 = .9286 is the same as playing 5 opponets at 13-1 = .9286):

70-122-4 - Miami
68-119-9 - Colts

70+122 = 192. 70/192 = .3646
68+119 = 187. 68/187 = .3636

It is what it is.

The dolphins were elite in the 70s and part ofthe 80s, it's been a LONG time since you were elite.

I love my dolphin fan friends, I wish all of you guys nothing but success in real life but I want your football team to lose.

Psst, most of that did not just happen in the 70s, read up on what happened to the Dolphins in the 80s and 90s, and you will find they were one of the more consistant organizations in the NFL. I especially liked 82, where not only did Miami go the the SB, they beat a certain team 3 times.

Your last SB win was 1973, ours 1968. Was Miami a consistent playoff type team? absolutely but you weren't always a consistent SB contender. You haven't been a legit SB contender since 1994.

They did beat us 3 times, they were better than us in 1982(though a incorrectly ruled fumble on your only offensive TD drive in the title game helped you).

There you go, nicely put and explained.

Even if you don't factor 2 games against div opps it's:

72 Mia: 50-87-3, .365
70 Bal: 49-83-8,. 371

bal played a tougher sched.

I don't recall doing that.

We are only 5 games in to this season.

Have you seen our OL this year? It was better last week w/ Mangold back but it has been atrocious BUT at Oak, at Bal and at NE is as tough of a road trip as you will ever see. It's rare enouhg to play 3 straight road games then we get a WC trip and 2 of the bezst teams in the league in 3 weeks. It's not like we are loisng to bad teams.

You haven't even contended for a SB in over 25 years, you aren't winning anything w/ that ownership. The Jets have a top organization, we'll get there one of these years.

Let's be honest.. The Jets haven't contended for a Superbowl either. To do that you have to actually make the Superbowl. Making the playoffs or conference championship means jack. We made the playoffs 3 years ago. Not quite 10 years of complete futility. Actually perhaps 7 years out of the past 10.

Since they won the superbowl i can only think of one year the jets were a superbowl contender. That year Testaverde blew his achilles during the first game of the season. Two years ago the only reason they were in the playoffs was because the colts tanked the regular season game. They were losing home games to Jax that year. They caught every break in the book with SD missing FGs to RIvers making boneheaded throws. They didnt have a chance against the colts in the AFC title game.

Last year they were hardly contenders. They squeaked into the playoffs as a wildcard team still by catching lucky break after lucky break like that PI against the broncos but they had no shot against Pitt or of winning the super bowl. In watching football over 30 years i cant recall a team that caught more fortunate breaks than the jets the past two years. They arent super bowl contenders. They havent been since Vinny blew his achilles

leading int the 2nd half of one title game and being one possession away from having a chance to win another is contending for a SB. We also contended in '04 when we were a kick away from the title game and '02. Miami hasn't veen been close to a title game since 1994.

You did make the playoffs 3 years ago but you got hammered at home in the WC round.

In my lifetime we have been legit SB contenders in '82, '85, '98, '02, '04, '09, '10.

We squeaked in winning 11 games last year? Yep it's all luck the past 2 years, we were really fortunate to lose half our secondary against Indy and Shonn Greene 2 years ago, we were incredibly fortunate to see a really close call result in a Pitt TD last year then miss on 1st and G from the 2. It's all been luck which apprently has run out.

Let's not lose perspective. I know he has to come here and tell us how much we suck.. especially lately.. but every franchise needs a rebuilding. That's exactly what we're doing.

We have almost as many division championship as you have playoff appearances.

Miami was almost always a team that had to be considered when the season started in the 80s and 90s a possible SB team.

Miami came very close to winning against the Redskins, the team Miami played in 84 was one of the most talented offensive and defensive teams ever to play the game in that 1984 49ers team.... Miami plays any other team that year, they win a SB. In 83, they did not get any further because a Rookie QB (Granted, an Elite Rookie QB) made some young mistakes in the playoffs and in 1985, Miami came very close to going down and giving the Bears a rematch of the humiliation they gave them during the season. Unlike the Jets in any era, the Dolphins were very relivent in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

Spin spin spin.

We ALL know how 2 victories were handed to you 2 years ago, and last year, the Detroit, Donkey and Cleveland games were lost by those teams and NOT won by the Jests. To say otherwise is ludicrous and void of football insight.

These things happen to teams that are in the right place at the right time, its obviously not the Jests fault W's ended up gift wrapped and in their laps, just dont mistake them for what they were....as was the Romo meltdown this year for that matter

McFly please come back to the 2000s.

As a matter of fact, prior to 2003 season, the Dolphins were STILL the winningest franchise in American Pro Sports percentage wise.

Unfortunately, we won't ever get near there again

BTW: What does ANY of this have to do with the fact the Jests cheated....again???
