Jets claim Clyde Gates

Yep our bad organization that has the most playoff wins in the league under the current regime.

Can you guys ever remove your hatred/jealousy of us when you discuss us?

Its so funny how Jets fans settle for playoff wins and not superbowls....

Good organizations are always bringing in players to take a look. Buddy's Bills don't fall into that category which is why you aren't bringing anyone in.

Actually, this is the first year that the Bills did NOT bring in some players from the 53-man cuts, which says they didn't see anybody out there better than what they already have. I'm sure there are other teams around the league that passed on making roster moves, too.

They did make a move late in preseason to secure a better backup QB than Tyler Thigpen by trading a 7th for Tarvaris Jackson. They could have probably waited to the final cuts, but they didn't want to take the chance of him going elsewhere. A competent backup QB with starting experience is definitely worth a 7th rounder.

Mike wants to send you a thank you note for Maybin. Wasn't he part of one of the worst defense?

You're welcome to Maybin. At least he hasn't been quite the bust that Gholston was.

Actually, good teams kick every tire they can. See the Patriots. They have brought in and looked at every TE on earth. Bills? They think they are too good and don't need any more help to win that SB they have been desiring for their entire lives. Good luck with that. It has worked for you guys so well in the past, Im sure it won't disappoint you this year either.

You Jests fans, like your GM, seem to think there are Super Bowl MVPs being cut at the end of the preseason. There aren't. The best ones are youngsters who get caught up in numbers games, and so can help teams that are thin at those positions. I'm sure if some team cut a Pro Bowl 4-3 MLB in his prime, the Bills would be have rushed to "kick the tires", but those guys don't get cut at the end of preseason; they get released or traded before their roster bonuses hit. The Bills and numerous other NFL teams did their shopping back in March and April when the inventory was fresh rather than waiting for the end-of-season clearance sales from the picked over stuff that didn't sell.

The Gnats' 4 playoff wins in 2012 are worth at least 100x all the Jests playoff wins in the last three years ... and all the Jests playoff wins since 1969, too.

what you fail to understand is that you aren't looking for great players at cutdown day but guys that can contribute, guys that can develop. Good organizations are always looking to add talent, when you think your roster is settled you are mistaken. That's bad management if you think your job is done at cutdown day.

Cool but no team has more playoff wins since 2009, right? so no matter what you think opf us you surely can understand we have been one of the best teams in the league, right?

Gates has speed, what we lacked last year was speed. he may never do anything for us but I know we liked him coming into the draft a couple of years ago and it doesn't hurt to pick him up. No one thought we'd get anything out of Aaron Maybin either, we'll see what happens.

So did Ten Ginn Jr. you just signed yourself GinnV2.0

we aren't counting on him, we are taking a chance w/ him. If he is a Ginn type that could be ok b/c we can use more deep threats. If not, we let him go. he's a role player here unlike Ginn who was counted on to do so many things for you.

He made up for Gholston. We got him for dirt cheap with no draft compensation.

We are not really looking for a SB MVP out of Clyde. He might not even see the field IF he even makes it through the first few games. He'll be a special teamer and a safety blanket incase Hill and Schilen get injured.

Are we really discussing this about a guy thats probably ranked 53rd on the Jets squad?

How about their two wins in the playoffs against Brady? Are they better than all ur playoff wins in the entire history? Im not sure how a Bills fan can even make such an argument.

Twice as many as you!

Which is one more than the Jets. Congrats. Lets see when you'll win ur first playoff in over a decade. Boy it seems like the a long time doesn't it?

Funny thing is, I was watching Hard Knocks last night. That organization has tons of signs reading "Champions play here" and "Champions practice here". I wonder if they were referring to the Steelers/Pats/Giants? Cuz Dolphins haven't come close to winning a playoff game in a decade.

Yeah, but you wasted a top 5 pick on Gholston. You didn't get anything for him, either.

Seems like your team has a lot of "safety blankets" and NOT too many stars. BTW, did Schilens even play in a preseason game or was he such a non-entity that he didn't even get hit in the back by a Sanchez pass or get over-thrown by Tebow.

A few of the Bills playoff wins at least got the them tickets to the Super Bowl. The Jets recent wins, which is what you were bragging on, got the Jets nothing. It's NOT how many playoff games a teams wins, it's where they end up. DOH.

You know what those tickets to the Super Bowl got you? Nothing.

The.Jest are the only team in the division to never have won 3 games in a postseason...Fact!
