Anybody else find this problematic? Nobody should EVER condone driving while under the influence of any kind of substance legal or not. If you think "driving safe and slow while high" is a good thing then you are sadly mistaken. Driving slow can be just as dangerous and even more so at times then people who speed.

I don't think people are condoning driving under influence of MJ, but just saying relatively it's a lot less dangerous than the effects of alcohol. I can see how driving too slow can be dangerous at times, but not how it can be "even more so than people who speed". I've seen friends who were drunk not only speeding around, but then get out of their cars and randomly start fights with strangers, not an issue with potsmokers.

i have a friend who smoked everyday since he was like 17, and didnt stop to study for his bar exams...smoked the night before each one and passed them both...

Weed is just a plant!! That statement can qualify as an acurate statement simply because of the THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) that is found within the plant. First of all , that is annoying , not dangerous. And second , I said safe and slow, not stupid.

Have you not driven on an Interstate highway?? Driving considerably slower than the flow of traffic is absolutely a danger.

I would like to share something with you, but please don't judge me. I've been clean for a few years now. I started drinking and smoking pot when i was 13 years old. After that I went to acid. I got bored with all that and went to cocaine, ecstacy, heroin...then i found crack. I have been incarcarated over 12 times in a matter of 2 years because of all this. I had hurt my ex g/f and stole from my family for it. Now maybe Ricky won't have to steal from his family to get what he wants but I guarantee he isn't smart enough to just leave it at pot. I'd bet he's even hit up the cocaine a couple of times (being in new orleans n miami). Don't kid yourselves. No drug is worth getting caught up in. If you think you can handle it, good luck to you.

p.s. not telling ya'll how to live your life, just trying to give some perspective

Just to give you some perspective. It the person holding the gun who shoots someone. It's not the guns fault. You could still think...you had a brain while on that stuff no? So you knew what you were doing then. All i'm saying is put the blame where it should be on YOU. Drugs are bad no doubt...life is rough no doubt. Basically, you had to click the lighter and puff the pipe....you smoke the pipe the pipe doesn't smoke you! Sorry about your problems. I have a brother with just about the same story you just gave. It's a damn shame, but it's his fault. He did it to himself for whatever reason.

I'm sure I'll get blasted for this but I think is something to think about for those who think that smoking pot is "no big deal" imo.

he can spark it up as long as he gives me the morphine, nitrous, or whatever else a doctor or dentist gives for anesthesia...besides, it's better to be high with somebody else :D

Well of course I wouldn't want to put my life in the hands of someone under the influence of marijuana - or any other substance including alcohol. That's why people take these substances - which is to alter one's mood and perspective. The thing is - it wears off. You regain your faculties. Now if someone is abusing drugs or alcohol your body and mind don't get the chance to repair itself and you end up like Ozzy.
