It's called "due process"... I take it you have not been invloved in any legal proceedings lately... anything that has to do with the legal process takes an excrutiating amount of time to come to the correct conclusion.

Just an FYI: Ricky does not have the right to due process in this case, nor is this appeal hearing considered legal proceedings. It isn't in a court of law and it isn't being heard by anyone in a judiciary capacity. This is an employee/employer dispute; that's all.
