Just noticed you don't have any "little guys" in there...

Your point is?

AGAIN, it's about the little guys the first weekend, it's about the power teams the further we advance though every once in a while a george mason or Butler makes the FF.

Richmond v. Morehead State on Saturday.

Unfortunately, someone has to win that game.
Don't let Richmond's #12 seed fool you. It's laughable that they were not a higher seed. Even more laughable is the fact that VCU was a higher seed than Richmond, when Richmond pounded VCU.

People forget that this Richmond team beat Purdue.

AGAIN, Butler was a five seed. Therefore, NOT a little guy. Just because they're a mid-major means nothing. Five seeds are GOOD basketball teams.

But if you think mid-majors are "little guys" then I guess Memphis basketball is a little guy as well.

Butler is a little guy. Schools like Memphis and Gonzaga have had sustained success for so long they are no longer considered mid mjaors but Butler is still considered one.

No, Memphis is still considered a mid-major since they're in a mid-major conference. You either are or you aren't. You can't twist this one to defend your argument lol.

Five seeds aren't little guys. I'd say six seeds and higher are the cream. That's the top 24 teams in the country for the most part. Butler had "sustained" success last season when they were ranked highly the entire year.

Not the true definition of a little guy. They certainly weren't Cinderella. This thing is seeded for a reason.

Memphis is NOT considered a mid major program.

Butler is a little guy, they are not a major program. It sepaks about how fair the system is in CBB that a mid major like them can earn a 5 seed.

It was stunning to see Butler playing for the National title even as a 5 seed.

Memphis is in a mid-major conference. You really going to try and argue that they aren't?

Therefore, Memphis is a mid-major team just like Butler.

Memphis is not a mid major program. Memphis is a major program just like programs like depaul and South Florida aren't major programs just b/c they play in a major conference.

If Butler keeps up this success and buolds on last year they will no longer be considered a mid major but in 2010 they were(and still are) a mid major.

Is Memphis in a mid-major conference?

Yes or no?

Simple question.

Simple answer.

So what? they play in a mid major conference, that doesn;t make them a mid major program. AGAIN, just like not all teams that play in major conferences are major programs.

memphis has been a program that has been to many FFs(though the NCAA stripped a few). They are not a mid major, they were an elite program under Calipari.
