"Even when you're a top notch athlete getting recruited from school all over the nation, it is pretty difficult to say "no" to Dick Satan and Alabama".

- Miami's top-rated recruiting class gets even better: Palm Beach Lakes S Gurvan Hall just committed.

Wide receiver Mark Pope, one of the top pass-catchers in the 2018 class, made a public commitment to the Hurricanes. He was long rumored to be leaning toward his hometown team.

Pope, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound rising senior at Miami Southridge, is rated a consensus four-star recruit; 247Sports has him as the third-best wideout in America and No. 22 player regardless of position. His list of offers included Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU and numerous other major programs.

If N'Kosi Perry can legit slang the rock at the college level . . . UM is absolutely LOADED at WR in the near future.

Exciting times ahead.

One hell of a safety and by all accounts a great guy as well. RIP

Canes are killing it

**Mark Richt and his staff are doing what they want on the recruiting trail right now. Miami's 2018 class is on pace to undoubtedly be the program's best ever on paper -- and is a virtual lock to finish top 3 nationally.

On Sunday, Todd Hartley's hard work with tight end Brevin Jordan finally paid off.

Hartley has been recruiting the Las Vegas Bishop Gorman product Jordan for over a year -- it marks the highest-ranked tight end (#3 on 247composite) that Hartley has landed at UM.

The commitment itself comes as no surprise as Miami has held a strong lead with a Jordan for months. Jordan was telling Canes commits D.J. Ivey, Gilbert Frierson, and Josh Jobe last week on his visit that he was already committed to the Miami coaching staff.

Hartley will continue to aggressively pursue Jacksonville prospect Will Mallory to complete what would be the best tight end class in the country. Miami is in good position with Mallory, who is the #9-ranked player at his position.

**Sources tell CanesInSight that Alabama and Miami are in talks to potentially kick off the 2020 season at Cowboy Stadium in an opening weekend game. Miami is scheduled to begin their 2018 season against LSU at Cowboy Stadium.

Bring it on

Tight end U alive and well as we land another top recruit

The Canes added their 17th commitment of the 2018 recruiting class and the second tight end in the last week. Mallory is rated as the #11-TE and #204-OVR in 247sports' composite rankings. Miami assistant Todd Hartley led both Mallory's recruitment, as well as Brevin Jordan's. Jordan is rated as the #1-TE in 247sports' composite.

It is scary now that we got that Nevin Shapiro BS behind us, we have a top 3 football class and a top 10 basketball class in the country. Plus the Fins in the playoffs.

Exciting times for us and it is time to finally buy some new gear for the 2017 season.

I hear you brother. I haven't bought a Canes hat in ages. I think i will now :)

The future is bright.
