The bizzare world of Omar Kelly just got more bizzare. Admitting to possible attempted murder is very odd. To steal a line from Omar: Blank stare

Hopefully they fire him so we can get a better beat writer.

The NSA should extend their services his way.

Two things....I wonder what the limitations under the law we have here. Can we send him away? Secondly, I don't believe him for a second. He is a liar that makes **** up. He should be fired anyways because he is a lousy *** writer.

He also went on to say it was NOT self defense, but "survival" because of how rough his childhood was. Um, whether your childhood was bad or not, attempted murder is still attempted murder. I wonder if the Sun-Sentinel is aware of this?

    Omar's streed cred reality:

It was a Super Soaker and the "assault" on a classmate occurred on the way to Remedial English on the back of the Short Bus

He should be fired for three reasons:

    1. His body of work (or lack thereof)
    2. Admitting to attempted murder
    3. Being stupid enough to actually admit to attempted murder

Now we just need to wait for Armando to try to one-up this idiocy with an admission of actual homicide on Twitter and we will finally be free of these two fools once and for all...

---------- Post added at 03:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:50 PM ----------

How the Herald or Sun-Sentinel didn't ditch Armando or Omar for Ben Volin is beyond me... All the good beat writers leave town, yet these jokers stick around like Herpes...

So Paula Deen admits she has used the N-word and is fired.
Omar Kelly admits he has shot at people and keeps his job.

Not justifying the Deen situation or saying Kelly should be fired. Just saying it's a strange world we live in where words carry more weight than bullets.

That's a pretty solid point. Not justifying either action but a good point nonetheless. He tried to kill someone!

Do we actually know that Omar didn't already pay for his actions? (ie. juvie?)

Look, I also don't like Omar, but some of you guys are being pretty hard on someone who was probably a teen when that happened. I don't have a clue what it's like having that kind of childhood. What little taste I got of it in a Seattle suburb was enough for me to think I might have to preemptively go after a guy or face getting seriously messed up when I'm not expecting it. You live a very predictable schedule going to school every day, and you see the same thugs almost every day. Thankfully, the punk went off to do time for stomping on some guy's head in a gang-related fight. That poor guy who got stomped on? I'm not sure he made a full recovery. That might have been me on the wrong morning.

We don't have to think about that every day living away from all that. I consider my experience to be the lite version as it wasn't even a hood in the real sense. So consider that.

How does anybody still even follow him?

Forget he exists like I do - makes life wonderful. The only time I hear, see, or am exposed in any way to his terrible work or actions is through the forum bringing him up.

Yes, it appears Omar has now taken it down. My guess is either the Sun-Sentinel scolded him about the tweet, or he realized it could get him in serious trouble. He was getting a lot of heat from people on Twitter over him admitting he tried to shoot someone. He is obviously hiding something.

bad shot? i dont know, this si typical gangsta shooting.

those guys usually hit everything and everyone BUT who they are aiming for.

maybe if they didnt hold their pistols with that silly sideways grip they could save a lot of innocent bystanders.

SOUNDS TO ME like once again, OMAR is trying hard to get him some street cred. he spends more time trying to get people to believe he is some O-G instead of time trying to be a roll model and condemn those hood rats and their lifestyle and get younger dudes thinking about school and education and a LEGAL career. talk about how a life in journalism has given him purpous in life instead of constantly praising these thugs and talking about he was gonna cap a guy but DANGIT! I DUN MISSED HIM!!!

what a goofus. i mean REALLY! what a thing to say!!

This should be enough to send Omar Back to the life he lived before trying to be a journalist. Unfortunately for him, there's just not as big a market for Milli Vanilli impersonators as there used to be ...

Hmm, I guess that just leaves Whoopi Goldberg stunt double.

Hard to say what he was thinking. Perhaps he was just trying to be honest. Or perhaps he's jealous of all that controversy Armando drew to himself when he made fun of Vietnam veterans and was handed a suspension by the Herald...has to one-up him...I dunno.

Somebody send this away to deadspin and the newspaper. Make Omar lose his job or admit....which I think is the case...he made this **** up to sound cool.
