plaxico burris

It sure is great coming to this site and learning all this info. I didn't even know that the Dolphins were talking trade. Keenan, Plaxico, Rod, wow!!!! Are there secret trade deals going on for Portis and Holmes too. We sure are going to have a great team.

Plaxico would be nice, but don't hold your breath. I have heard that he's been pissing and moaning, but he is in camp, and he does appear to be ready to play this year in the 'Burgh.

how would we get him, we dont have anything to trade, we need OGUN now that the offense is going to be mediocre
What was the offense the past four years if not mediocre?:lastyr:

I would trade for Burres but not a first rounder. Maybe a second rounder and one of our never will be star WR's but also would like to see Mcardell

The problem there is we don't HAVE a second round pick. OR a 6th. This limits our trade options.

LOL at these crazy azz threads!! Yesterday it was Freeman, now Burress!

Burress isn't better than our 2nd or 3rd WR. He drops a helluva lot of balls in Steeler country. Hines Ward is the man out there...now that is a guy I'd like to trade for...a first round pick definately!

The comedy of it all is that people are looking at WRs where the difference between them and what we have on our roster isn't profound enough to warrant major interest. Now are we looking to add depth to our WR corp or a bonafide starter???

Keenan caught 80 balls for 1100 plus yards last year. How many times as our number 1 (chambers) done that? Id call that a heck of an upgrade over our 2 and 3 wr's. I think its an upgrade over chambers.

If you think that Keenan is better than Chambers you are insane :shakeno:

Keenan was also on a team with an accurate QB and no running game. You can't compare his numbers to Chambers. Two completely different offenses.

You know you have reached rock bottom when Plaxico Burress gets you excited. Its like going to a bar and after about 10 beers, the ugly girls start looking good.

I guess you forgot about Thompson's stinkin azz last year....let me remind you.

Thompson: 26rec---359yds---13.8avg---0TD
Newson: 2rec--- 52yds---27.5avg---0TD
Minnis: 1rec--- 4yds--- 4avg---0TD (he was hurt last year although Plax topped his career stats in each of his seasons. )

Plax stats: 60rec---860yds---14.3---4TD

Plax is a tremendous upgrade to our recieving corps. Don't kid yourself.

Not that we have the pick of the litter, but looking at the last 3 years and their relative ages, which one would you go after?

Somehow, I don't think Plaxico would make a huge impact, given that he will be turning 7 on Thursday (according to your stats). ;) hehehe

I feel your anxiety to see us improve in the key position but we would never give up what they would want for him and yes he would greatly improve our QB's just for the reason alone that he's a big target but They need a #2 also going into the season.

Stats don't show that Plax is shy about going over the middle. Hines handles most of the tough work and precision routes.
Plax just generally runs upfield. He takes plays off and is generally lax....Ward is the smaller of the two yet the toughest and of course the best.
