thats not even close to the buttfumble. In two weeks noone will remember the facemask FG but everyone forever will remember the buttfumble.

The Jets are one of if not thee most hated team in the league so when iconic things like the buttfumble happen to them, people never forget.

Unfortunately we won't, hopefully next year. this is the first time we have missed 3 straight postseasons since 1995-1997(which was part of missing 6 straight starting in '92).

AGAIN, that is b/c the Jets are RELEVANT. Even when bad we get talked about more than Miami. switch the plays and the helmet snap would be huge while the buttfumble would be ignored if it happened to you.

Obviously Junc is spewing his shenanigans like a three year old again. It's only going to get worse as the Jets sink deeper into oblivion with no answer at QB while the Dolphins have found their future at QB and are closing the gap on NE.

Don't know about you, but I am hoping The Jets fulfill Junc's Christmas wish, and believe next year with Sanchez starting again, they will be OK.
 
Hey, let's bring up John Beck again, too. I'm sure there's someone out there who still believes in him. At least he actually played for the Dolphins.

Debating Mark Sanchez is like debating Blaine Gabbert. Why even ****ing bother?

You want to talk about relevancy? The world has heard more about the resiliency of the Miami Dolphins post Bullygate than they did about the Jets the entire season.. Miami is relevant in a positve way. You can keep your circus show Jets negative relevancy. While we are still fighting for the playoffs, your season is over and come two weeks from now, we are going to make you even more negatively relevant when we wipe the field with those relevant irrelevant Jests

and you still aren't relevant but I'd rather be irrelevant and in the playoffs than relevant and out.

the buttfumble was replayed on every late night TV show. It has its own wikipedia entry.

On September 6, 2013, ESPN retired the butt fumble from "Worst of the Worst" after going undefeated for 40 weeks. Think about that. The largest sports network in the world was faced with a choice: cancel a popular segment of the show or retire the unbeatable blooper play....

Sure, that's the same thing as the botched FG on Sunday.
 
The Jets will always be "relevant" because the media and its advertisers play to the most populated city in the country by broadcasting their news.
