Atlanta’s Power rating has been on the steady rise for over a month. It’s just that they have had a long way to go after giving up 56 points to KC and only scoring 10 on KC’s defense. It hurt them bad.

could be one of the most accurate power polls ever. this is a power poll that knows that wins/losses don't necesarily represent the power of the team.

Are you trying to say that Pittsburg has been playing good ball the last few weeks. one point win over jax and a 8 point win against washington and 5 points win against cincinnati?

If you have been betting on Pittsburg against the spread you've been losing lately. The Rookie Qb has been struggling and its' showing, that's all. Doesn't mean they still can't win it all, but he has got to step it up or The jets are going to come away with the victory...

Obviously the pure points power rating system has a flaw when Pittsburgh can’t seem to stay in the top 3 or 4, much less #1. It also obviously has a flaw with a high scoring teams such as KC to remain near the top all year long even with their dismal record.

I’ll have to see if I can factor in a TOP value for teams like Pittsburgh who dominate a team so thoroughly despite the score.

Anyway thanks for looking at it…

good stuff ross... ive liked coming in here and seeing the rankings on your scale all year... keep it up and yeah a TOP could help, but how would that affect quick strike teams like st. louis?

maybe just a defensive stat like yards per game, or yards per play if you dont have that stuff factored in...

Thanks for the props Arsenal. I'm not sure how TOP would effect a quick strike team like the rams other than maybe make their PR drop more when they don't get near the expected point differential. I've tinkered with the points gained/lost on the point differential over the years but have never added any "stat" to the formula. But when I go back and look at the Steelers games and see the huge TOP differential in their games it looks as though this team has consistently been penalized for not running up the score...
