Yeah right, star quarterback my a$$, sure he had quite a run taking over for Vinny early in the 2002 season finishing with an 8-4 record and leading the Jets to the AFC East title (because of a certain OC going brain dead in the final 5 minutes of the season) :fire:. However, he hurt his wrist during a pre-season match-up with the Giants and missed about half the season, but when he came back, he definately wasn't the Chad of '02, he posted a very mediocre 4-5 record when he returned and only beat one contender (Tennessee) in the process. Now thats star quality.....but then again he's better than Jay.

Actually when he came back he threw 12 TDs in 5 games then it went downhill, he had only 1 weapon to throw to(Moss) and when they started to double and sometimes triple that weapon he had no one to throw to.

He was the 2nd best QB in '02(behind only Gannon who was the league MVP), he led the league in passing, led his team out from under a 1-4 and 2-5 start. W/ good health and the additions of McCareins & Ricks and the return of Chrebet he'll have plenty of weapons to throw to and will lead the league in passing for the 2nd time in 3 years.
