Merged: Ronnie Brown/Can He Carry the Load?

Of course, of course. I just wish we had a shot at say... Bennet, who is now with the saints. Maybe we should go after Jesse Chatman again.
I have faith in Nick, and Randy that they had a plan B if this happened and were prepared either way. Keep The Faith fans!

remember, sammy did a hell of a job in 2004 without ricky or ronnie. and that was with feeley/fiedler and a mediocre line. miami will be fine. :dolphins:

Lendale White should be available!! I wouldn't mind taking him with the first pick since Ricky is done.

I think you're giving too much credit when you said mediocre. When you think of it, if Sammy had a line, he propbably would of been MVP. Okay, maybe that's a stretch. But still...

i deff think ronnie can handle the load a lot of us arnt mentioning that we have daunte which will now really open up the run...ronnie has always wanted to handle the load and now he will get his opportunity, and now we also had fred beasley who will be an excellent lead blocker for ronnie and can also take some hand offs...ronnie has shown us what he can do and i just expect to see more of his play making skills all over the field

I have full belief in Ronnie and his ability to carry this team. Just watch some of his highlights from last season. He showed flashes of brilliance in his rookie season having to share the load, I think he'll be even better getting the load of the carries. Most teams have a starter and a back up for a reason, the starter is usually head and shoulders better thant he backup, therefore the reason he's the starter.. so Ronnie's the starter and a pro bowl caliber one for me, but, Sammy is an effective enough backup to rely on, especially with Chambers, Bookers, McMichael, and Daunte helping to back off the safties..

Oh, me always have faith, bro. I sat through the whole 2004 season with nothing but hope. Because of Saban, I knew more about football than I ever had in the past. I think anything Saban will do is going to be a bright spot

What is with you people who want to draft a RB in the first round?

Does Ronnie Brown or have bigger needs and holes not mean anything to you?

don't forget T. Minor. I always thought he was a decent 3rd down back behind ricky. between morris, minor and harris, plus fred beasley who I think is going to be a good pick up, I think we will be fine.

Didn't Detroit teach us anything? Never draft the same position three times in a row in the same round.

Call this crazy but I have a feeling Nick, and Randy will turn this negative into a positive and find someone to add to this roster whether it's Kay Jay or someone else they will do there homework.

What does that have to do with anything?

Are you saying Miami shouldn't take a CB in the 4th this year? If so, what does that have to do with this topic?
