Teddy Bridgewater Discussion (resignining With The Saints)

I hope we get him. I'd love to see what he can do as a starter, all the better if it's for us

What do dolphins have too losed. Nothing if they draft QB find. If Tb beat him out and start that find. We looking for best QB.dolphins need competition at every position.. Tb this maybe ur last chance starting. Ask for more money nothing lower than 10 million. If Cutler got that u should get that too

It is quite amusing to see the people who died on the hill that is Ryan Tannehill ****ting on the idea of bringing in Bridgewater.

He's a FA that won't cost us a pick, is 26, talented, and if he sucks then nothing is lost except a mulligan season anyhow.

As far as him winning too many games and ****ing up the tank ... maybe he wins and looks good enough on an otherwise lackluster team for Miami to NOT have to jump back in the QB market with a 1st rounder or worse. Plus we can always trade up ... like the last umpteen QBs taken in the 1st round not named Baker Mayfield.

I just don't see a lot of downside here.
Also funny to see those who complained for years about RT being mediocre call for different QB of the same level

possibly a 3rd round pick next year when they will most likely have to move up for the QB they really want

Not saying I necessarily want him signed, but didn't he make a pro bowl? And has a winning record as a starter? Performs better on 3rd down and in the 4th quarter, so could be described as more clutch? So I can see why people might think he's an upgrade.

I'd rather we didn't sign anyone myself, but that's just me. I don't really think he's going to be the long term answer, and I don't see the point in winning a couple more games this year than we would with the others.

Hoping for an injury now? How pathetic.

I said it's our best bet, who the **** roots for an injury?

No one is hoping for an injury, but it would absolutely put the Dolphins in the best position. I want the Dolphins to win every game, every time they play. It doesn't make me naive to what would be an ideal position to be in. Get off your high-horse, or go draft another 5 paragraph summary on Tannehill.

We should be eyeing QBs in 2020, not chasing down Teddy Bridgewater or Blake Bortles, unless the idea is that they can get us to a top 3 pick.

Yea I'm not a fan of teddy. He's not better then Tannehill imo

Oh I think he is quite a bit better than Tannehill . . . And I am talking about top of his game 2016 Tannehill (I will assume you aren’t talking about the Tannehill corpse we saw late in the 2018 season).

Tannehill certainly had more athletic ability, but Teddy manages the pocket and improvises at a much better level than Ryan and is a good athlete in his own right.

That said, the guy had a gruesome leg injury and if Miami is going to give him starter money, it suggests they feel he can be their future and Personally I rather put more focus on drafting from a high end crop next year . . . .but I do understand there are no guarantees with that either.

Its not an easy choice for the guys who have their jobs on the line, but if Ross gave me the green light to have a potentially bad season to develop youth, I would take it, assuming the job security.

But I’d root like hell for Teddy if he is signed.

he may be a slight upgrade but I really would like a QB that averages more than 1 TD per game and if he isn't the long-term answer, we might as well start Falk

Bridgewater doesn't have the arm talent that Tannehill does, in fact I doubt it's even close.

Tannehill is a far more talented QB than Bridgewater, talent isn't everything but it matters a lot.

They're not on the same level. Teddy competes. Tannehill is just fine walking off the field after another failed possession. Big difference.
with all due respect to his estimated competitive spirit, it doesn't seem to translate to his actual production

I hear ya and I'd root for teddy too if we went that way. But I'll go on record saying i don't think its a good idea. I'd rather draft a guy like Lock. Bridgewater is coming off an injury and didn't really look good when he started last year. I'd rather go with a rookie
