So were coming to the end here so are most people happy with the Gase selection?

I guess it would have been him or Hue .. although I wanted Mike S or Tom C if he really was really interested.

Tough for a guy like Mike Shanahan. Wants back in so badly he cold called teams. And no one wants to hire him.

Wondering if we dodged a bullet with Shanahan, as much as I wanted us to hire him.
Maybe he wants all kinds of control that no team wants to cough up?

No exactly sure but something may be reported on it later...

If you recall Armando reported Dolphins were concerned with staff he could assemble.

Bill Lazor to San Francisco? Any bets?

I'd be surprised, considering that the strong rumor when we interviewed Lazor was that the Eagles were going to fire him on account of his inability to get along with Nick Foles.

Wonder if Kelly would still be interested in acquiring Dion Jordan somehow. 49ers dont exactly have great defensive depth (but hey, neither do we)

Dion back in Cali :ricky:

Middle of the road. Not excited, not disappointed. Hopeful he can get the offense turned around, extremely worried about his ability to handle a football team. There is a lot of inexperience that goes all the way up to the GM and they are being led by guy who has no business being in charge.

I wasn't high or low on him.

But I've now done what I've always done, and convinced myself he will be awesome.

This always happens in the "off-season" which leads us to the big disappointment in the actual season...although I do think most will be very leary of predicting any real success next season - more in the show me mode..

Although just after FA and the draft are completed some optimism may return - even if briefly.

Yep, thats why I've trained myself to enjoy the off season so much. I don't even post here during the regular season, it's too negative.

And by mid season I already quit watching this season.

The off season, is my season if that makes sense. Enjoy the team before they crush my hopes and dreams.

I'm pulling for Gase to be successful. Honestly, I'm a bit concerned about all these first timers, but at least this process didn't make us look like Buffoons again.

Hue in Cleveland.....Chip in San Fran.......1st timers in NYG and Tampa......who would have thought.....

I wonder if Hue is the big loser in all this......or is Cleveland the big winner. Could go either way in my opinion.

The hires are coming in fast. The #Bucs are now hiring OC Dirk Koetter as their head coach, source said. Should be "soon."

This leaves only the #Titans among head coach openings… unless the #Lions make a call on Jim Caldwell.

6 of the 7 NFL head coaching vacancies have been filled. All 6 are offensive coaches.@FieldYates

With so much turnover at offensive coordinator the past 2 seasons around the league, good ones are in high demand.

Lovie Smith and Coughlin left out in the cold?

I think Tom C may take some time off and only coach for a team if situation was perfect for him or maybe retire..

Lovie may do the same- take one year off collect from TB and try next year for HC or do like Tony and Joe did take lesser position again down the line..
