2016 "The Dolphins should draft..." megathread

Connor Cook with the 3rd round pick.I think he could end up being the second best NFL quarterback in this draft class.

Has a good motor but he is the last one off the snap. Going to look for more games of his.

Yeah worth looking into, I'll look for more film. As to the Dolphins should draft... concept, three guys come to mind for late picks (glad we have 2 7th rd picks), would be four but javon Hargrave has been climbing for some time, justifiably. Two of them I came across from other posters on this site (Steven Daniels and Justin Zimmer), so props to them:

I would add Eric Lee in, a guy who I just heard of, looked at some tape after reading that the Pats are checking him out. Don't know much about him but he jumps out on film. Still like CB Deiondre Hall 4th-5th rds, probably targeted by the Seahawks along with Artie Burns because of the size and length, both have really long arms, good fits for us as well.

Connor Cook with the 3rd round pick.I think he could end up being the second best NFL quarterback in this draft class.

I also like the idea of upgrading over Matt Moore (who CANNOT run the Tannehill spread option offense.

But Cook will be long gone before the 3rd round IMO.

My vote is Alexander. He is a shutdown CB. Played left side of defense. Which works perfect for Maxwell who prefers the right side. U have to overlook that he had no picks. 0 picks means they didn't challenge him much. Second choice is Williams III. Tall fast and a baller.

Hackenberg is also an interesting prospect. Had all the tools. Only thing is I heard somewhere, probably on this forum, that he isn't the brightest kid. Nonetheless, he was a highly touted prospect coming out of high school and had a great freshman year. Definitely someone I will be following.

Also if we draft Kevin Dodd at 13 or anywhere in the first two rounds I will be extremely furious

so Myles Jack has a chondral defect in his right knee (knee he hurt) and the believe is he may slide a little because of it

Dodd would be a great find in RD2. Stop it.

Okay. What's so special about him besides the Alabama game? And even in that game, Alabamas left tackle was a joke

I'm trying to figure out what all this hype is about. Been watching any game of his I can find, but there isn't much out there and from what I have seen nothing jumps out

For a second rounder with his physical make up and upside, I would run to him. Best football is ahead of him.

I have a feeling this will be one of those "Who did they just draft?" years. The Fins will be sitting there at 13 and some player that most thought wouldn't make it to 13 is still on the board. Everyone will be excited that the Dolphins may have lucked out. Then they announce the selection and everyone will be saying "who" ? followed by "why" ? Then the sound of TV's being yelled at all over the country. I hope I'm wrong, but I put nothing passed Dolphins management.

Penn State fan here....just say no to Hackenberg. Yes his line was not great his last 3 years but he made nothing of it. If he was elite he would looked WAY better than he did at times. When he did have time he missed way too many throws. Just isn't accurate enough for me. Could he turn into a good NFL QB falling to the right team? Sure...any player can. But I'd stay away.
