A.J. Talking on ESPN.com...

Nothing.

It's when you say the same damn thing after every-single-game that it gets like he's just saying it because "its the right thing to say".. He's obviously isn't doing anything about his mistakes otherwise we would see improvement. That's why, to me, it's like he could give 2 ****s..
Could it not be that he is taking the blame for others & is saying the right stuff, showing that he is a leader & not gonna point fingers.

We all know the OL play has not provided the QBs with good enough protection.

I wouldn't expect you to understand. It seems too complicated for you. What I am saying is beyond face value.. Look between the lines and beneath the surface.. You'll get it one day I guess.
Yea, you are so above & beyond everyone else. Using the term cancer for AJ is making you come off as foolish. AJ is far from a cancer. TO is a cancer.

I'm just seeing what is there while you seeing what you want too.

AJ is saying the right stuff, because he is trying to be a team leader and not someone who points out when others also fail. I've yet to see AJ ever blame the OL for not blocking, even when he was being hit in 4 different direction two seconds after the snap of the ball.

Which I guess in your opinion is long enough for him to find a open player to throw it too.

I don't care about saying the right things(AJ),I care about results(TO=Superbowl).

big difference

9 for 25 and a pick...those were Frerotte's stats TWO weeks ago when everyone, probably including you, thought he was done. Got to love that short term memory!

Frerotte didn't throw for 7 or 8 int's for TD's the other way ever in his career....BIG DIFFERENCE!

Feeley almost got sacked in the endzone...GREAT FREAKIN' play to get away from the pressure...then what does he do...throws into TRIPLE COVERAGE....all 3 defensive players were between AJ and reciever....HORRIBLE PLAY! That ball should have been thrown to me in the stands, but this is nothing new, Feeley did ALL LY and obviously he hasn't learned. I'm patient with players, especially QB's, if they learn...but if they don't...time to move on.

The only reason why Gus will start is the vet experience. Not discounting that nor the fact that Linehan likes Gus. But Gus has done nothing in teh preseason to instill this confidence. No he didnt play bad thurs, he didnt play long enough for that to happen. Which was by partial design.

Oh now there is a conspiracy againt AJ? COme on!!! Give me a break!! What a bunch of crap. AJ Feeley is awful. Is Gus great? By no means. But he is better than AJ -easily. I'm not excited about our QB situation. But I do know that Gus gives this team the best chance to win. Sage gives this team a better chance to win than AJ does.
People were screaming that AJ needed time with the first team. Now that he GOT it, you throw crap out there suggesting that Gus was pulled out before he could look bad? Please!! Stop hugging AJ. He got the opportunity all of you were crying for and he showed his true colors. He is an INT machine. If he isn't playing against scrubs, he is pathetic. Just accept it. AJ's chance to be a starter in this league was thrown away with his pitiful performance against starters. I can't believe people are defending him. It blows my mind.

Believe me, guy.. I don't want to see this in any of the quarterbacks on my favorite team. But, it is what it is and that I cannot change. It's all good though because AJ will be gone soon enough.

You must be smoking the same thing Ricky smokes cuz no way in hell can anybody take AJ Feeley over TO,that must be some good stuff bro.

I would take the Florida Marlin's Milk Swiggin Bat Boy over TO.

BINGO!!!

Let's see how long the offensive line blocks, or atleast tries to block when they keep hearing Frerotte say it wasn't his fault he kep overthrowing Boston by 10 yards.

Heck we saw in ST Louis what happened to Warner when the team decided to not block for him against, was in the Giants. Yup like 5 fumbles and an injury later the line had their QB Bulger starting.

Face it there is no way you can critiscize Feeley for saying this. He had just as bad a preseason as Frerotte. Yet Frerotte is making excuses just like the coaches are making excuses for him but yet Feeley is getting critiscized for accepting blame and not making excuses?

The whole excuse about Frerotte and the dirt infield by Saban is lame. He better not start Frerotte then for about 2 games seeing as he will have to play on it a couple times

HMMM very interesting.

Skape,we need results, playmakers,be it an outcast like TO or good model citizens like Marvin Harrison.Just players that can push us over the hump to the next level.

Has TO ever won a SB? No. But his antics have already been responsible for the demise of a once proud franchise. And it may soon be responsible for the demise of another franchise.

I wouldn't take TO either. But San Frans' problems have little or nothing to do with TO. They suck for way more reasons than him. As for Philly: they were contenders without him and they would be contenders without him this year too.

not for nothing but this is why I think he's a cancer. It's like he has no drive to do well or compete.. Comments like this make me think he doesn't give a ****.. When players don't give a **** on a team it makes them cancers especially at arguably the most important position on the field.. The director of the offense..

Your just down on him he also said he wouldn't sleep that night and would be the first one in to the complex n the morning to watch film to analyze his play he wants to be good! Guys DOn't play qb if they don't want to win or care about theyre performance!

I don't think he was solely responsible for what happened in San Fran. they were cleaning house letting Rice,TO,Mariucci,Garcia and everybody go.TO didn't want to be part of that and asked for his trade, got it and took the Eagles to the Superbowl, now it wasn't his fault Donovan got sick or whatever. But he still did his job after missing so many games hurt and had a great year.

AJ played bad, very bad, no excuses, but what I dont understand is why this made Gus better. Gus played like Gus which means never good....you really think that we are gonna buy the infield stuff?...I dont think so. Frerotte is going to be the starter? YES. He is going to be the starter because he played better or showed more potential than AJ? NO. He is going to be the starter because he was brought in to be the starter, independently of how the guy would play.

What frustrates me the most is that it appears to me that AJ really has not received the opportunity to play with the first teamers in a game situation. Let's face it, the first string O line is not very good--yet (ever the optimist!). The second stringers are pretty pathetic. Seems that even the 2nd stringers on other teams just tee off on our guys and the QB has no chance. Now, it would be great if Feely could display the mental toughness to remain calm, cool and collected under such circumstances, but... I sure would have liked to see what AJ could do with the ones.

Along the same line of thinking, I haven't seen much from Gus in spite of the fact that he's been with the ones for the vast majority of the preseason. The only drive he directed to a TD with the ones was the first drive against TB. Take a look at that drive. Ricky ran roughshod. There were only 2 pass plays called, both completions. The first to McMichael was a fairly short pass, but very nicely thrown to hit him in stride, that McMike turned into a nice gain with what--about 20 YAC. BTW, that is the only pass I recall seeing Gus throw the whole preseason where he hit a guy perfectly in stride. The other throw was, if I recall correctly, a short swing pass to Ricky. Not exactly as if Gus was the star of the drive...

I wish someone would have stepped up, but IMHO AJ has not shared an equal opportunity in this regard, nor--obviously--has Sage. I think we've seen too much emphasis placed in 'knowledge of the system'. What I've seen of AJ is a very nice ability to throw the football and some good athleticism. I think he has more upside than Gus and it MAY be that he just needs more seasoning to gain confidence and stop forcing the ball. Playing with the ones and not having to look over his shoulder might be the answer. But I don't see it happening unless someone gets hurt.
