A Little Tannehill Perspective...

take another look and see if wallace falls down coming out of his break on the play...otherwise first down...

I stand corrected on that play if thats what happened, but I truly dont think any DC respects Tannehill throwing down field.

**** waiting on Tanny. You keep drafting and picking up QB's til you get a stud. Tanny may be the one, maybe not, but keep picking up Qb's until you have not one but two....We just pick one and wait to see if he develops??/ That's stupid.

Seriously if you cant realize that defenses have dared us to beat them deep for a while now then I dont know what to tell you. You arent the only one who puts the tape on. NFL coaches get paid to do it.

Look back at that Carolina game. How many times was Wallace open deep? That is one of the top D's in the league. You dont think they showed less concern for getting burned deep than normally? We even hit one of those deep balls for a TD. It was an under throw of course, but Wallace made a nice play on the ball.

Obviously, they watched the film and didnt see our vertical passing game as a threat. Other teams picked up on it as well. Wallace has been open deep down the sidelines A LOT this season, especially later in the year.

Its no different than when basketball defenses dont fear a shooter. They want that guy taking those jumpers. Thats why LeBron and Wade got all of the attention in the playoffs. Teams dared Bosh to beat them with a 15 ft jumper. It may not have worked out for those defenses, but that was their best play.

carolina loaded the box to completely snuff out the run...hell the only thing we did on o that game was tannehill to wallace vertical...they could have played it safer and snuffed our our run game like just about everyone else has and putt their top corner on hartline on an island and bracketing wallace...

Guys on the serious side, get real! Tannehill has no oline, no running game , old oc. The kid has talent. He's raw and getting experience. He will be a qb in the nfl for a long time. Be it a backup or starter. Give tannehill an above average line , a running game and an upgraded receiving core this kid would do some damage. Just saying

I dont find it surprising that the same kind of thinking that results in believing this nonsense

.on a side note Tim tebow would of won this game with his heart and passion.

also believes that :lol2:

I heard someone saying the other week about how the Fins NEVER have guys wide open on short crossing routes that get tons of RAC. I cant say I definitively know why, but Id be willing to bet it has a lot to do with the way the defense plays us.

Last week, Tannehill has like 50 yards of total offense all game. Moore come in and hits Hartline for 50 yards immediately. Im not saying Moore is good, just that maybe Tannehill leaves too many of those same bombs on the table and teams know it.

Thats exactly the point. They couldve done that yet those chose not to. That shows you the respect they had for our QB to beat them.

I'll keep this one simple. Tannehill has certain fundamental issues that an experienced quarterback coach will need to clean up; namely hip movement/stability (for deep throw accuracy) and pocket awareness.
I agree that RT is worth the time investment; however, I'm fairly certain we don't have the staff that can actually develop him and correct the problems that are so obvious at this point. When putting his staff together, Philbin decided it would be better to hire his inexperienced son-in-law to be the qb coach rather than a more experienced coach who might have actually done RT some good.

However, I can tell you from interacting with NFL scouts on a day-to-day basis that he is almost universally viewed as a future perennial Pro Bowler. Everyone is welcome to their own opinion; but any views suggesting he is a bust, or does not warrant further development, would be viewed as buffoonery among those that evaluate football talent for a living.
They're talking about his potential. But potential often goes unrealized. Just about every player picked in the 1st two round of the draft each year could be described as "future perennial Pro Bowlers" but what percentage actually become that? Unless we have a better coaching staff, my fear is RT remains seriously flawed.

That's only because Wallace is our only WR with any kind of speed. Take him out of the equation and you're set. Brian Hartline scares nobody as a deep threat.

Damn straight. Tannehill ****ing sucks.

Thats why Sherman looks bad. Ive been telling you guys all year. Get a real QB and that system works just fine.

Defenses simply DO NOT fear being beaten by Tannehill. So they crowd everything and shut us down. All it would take is Tannehill burning them a few times deep and **** would open up for us.

Teams squat on comebacks and curls because thats all Tannehill can throw with any consistency.

alright i have had enough...if tannehills in the game on that play buffalo doesn't play it the same...they had a 3rd and long and put hartline on an island and ran a vertical...a route which hartline blows at anyways...of course the d says go ahead be my guest there with your fresh off the bench qb...

and on the next play he threw a inside breaking seam route 3 yards behind a wide ass open clay on a man route where the receiver is not gonna sit down but carry the route down the field...for a pick

if you guys are trolling me like a bunch of girls i dont find it funny

But wallace doesn't adjust or dive on a wide open route and he is throwing league average on deep passes so shut up about it...:rolleyes2:

I didnt say Moore was good. He wasnt. All Im saying is Moore hit a wide open Hartline deep down field and Tannehill is like 1 for 1374829378392 on the year on those same passes.
