After Lineman, next priority is Hudson Houck

Yup but Wayne is only going to spend so much and he's already got 2 expensive coaches on the roster as is. You also have to remember that we are still paying all the coaches salaries that are being dismissed. Probably looking at $10 million in new coaching and filling out the commitments of the outgoing coaches. Paying another $1 million a year to an offensive line coach probably isn't going to happen.

A QB's coach doesn't make that much. Looking at $150, 000 tops.

For Wayne money is not a problem. We're talking about a guy who at one point owned all three majors professional sports teams in town.

It's still a business though and he's for sure still looking to make a profit. As it stands now he's already got one of the most expensive staffs in the league.

If Saban gets his mind set on Houck, he'll be able to pay whatever it takes.

You're right but remember that he is trying to sell to the fans and rest of the country that Dolphins are one of the premier teams in the league. This is why he announce the stadium changes and I'm sure he is willing to open the check book to put together the best possible staff to succeed.

Offering 900,000 per year for one of the top OL coaches is chump change for Wayne.

It's all about winning with Wayne. He has never been cheap with anything. He's the best owner in the NFL and will go out and do what it takes to make this team a champion.

Well I still think we won't pay that much. Got to be a few promising coaches out there who can work with an o-line. Just getting rid of Wise and having Linehan will make a nice difference. Not to mention more 3 wide sets.

If it cost a million dollars of Wayne's Money to get Houck here, it will be well worth it. we need a great oline coach to coach up the players we have now, and the young players we will be getting in the draft. This is one coaching position that needs to be a priority!

Saban may even give Houck the extra title of asst head coach/offensive line, and IMO he will outbid anyone for Houck's services and it will all come down to where Hudson wants to be. This hiring will be just as important as the one of Linehan and more important than who gets picked as DC, as there are more good choices there.

We have plenty of young offensive lineman with physical ability, and just need HH to mold them into a cohesive efficient unit.

Lets hope this is a done deal tomorrow!
