We got time yet.Dont hit the panic button.

We have a Secondary specialist as a Head Coach. We have Bell Cooper and Tillman that all have starting time as safeties. Daniels, Goodman, and Allen all have starts under their belts. Lehan and Jackson will play their part if they make the squad. And Jason Allen and Renaldo Hill could both be used as corners or safeties. That's ten DBs. Can someone with some common sense tell me how many DBs we would possibly use during a game? With all this experience and good coaching someone is bound to step up if injuries occur, especially once everyone has time to learn the system. Put that together with a defensive line that will be 9 to 10 players deep bringing it every down. There is nothing to worry about.

If we struggle this year it will be purely a coaching problem not a player’s problem. But I have faith in our team and coaching staff. This is my first post. I feel that there are way too many ignorant people making negative comments because they don't understand the game. Find one team with the amount of depth we have at the defensive line (which is responsible for pressuring the QB) coupled with more than 8 DBs having starting experience or the physical skills of Jason Allen and I'll show you a playoff caliber team. Once again don't underestimate what we have and our coaching staff. Remember, the Patriots won three Super bowls with less talent and experience than we have using a WR part time as a DB. The system is what counts time will tell.

take it easy dude.....hes not saying we're doomed for the rest of the season he's just saying we're going through a little bit of a rough slide with the injuries right now...and he's right.

I dont even know I would go as far to say a "rough slide" right now. Wait for the regular season to be saying things like that. Rough slide seems to indicate how the team is going overall, not a few injuries that may not be a concern come week 1. Like I posted earlier, I think we all just need to relax and ONLY panic a bit more in september or october if this is still an issue.

one preseason loss does not mean we are going downhill. our starters went 10-0 against jaxs starters. have some faith

Oh grief, please go find Chicken Little and play in the streeet won't you? We're only 1 game into preseason and you're writing us off, OMG the sky is falling, the sky is falling! New contender for dumbest thread of the month.

yes! i do not think we will have the record we did last year.

not only the secondary, but not having ricky is going to hurt
a lot more than most think. he was the BIGGEST factor in
the 6 game streak.

the o-line does not look improved to me, although i like the
move of making hadnot the full time center, the lineup
last year was looking great! mcintosh was fine at lt and
realy came on in the 2nd half of the season. shelton is not
the answer, injury and lack of dicipline is his m.o.!

the qb's or should i say duante, needs to stay healthy. that
is a big crap shoot. to go the whole season on that kind of
repair is asking a lot, expecially for a guy his size and who is
so mobile!!

joey stinks, and if we have to rely on him when teams are game
planning, OUCH!! i hope they promote cleo and FINALLY develope
some talent.

out depth across the board is sceptical at best.

i don't see a super bowl this year, or playoffs.

When Goodman was running as the 2nd corner with the 1st team we looked pretty tight out there in coverage I didn't see any reason to panic.

Have you been paying attention during the off season. #1 We have great depth at almost every position. #2 And D-Mac was the worst O-lineman we had last year. #3 Joey is better than Gus and he isn't even the starter. Ricky being out I don't like, but your off base on the rest of it IMO.

WOW

You can't really be serious. Have you read the reports and seen DC in action during TC, you are way off with these assumptions. All of your assumptions are not well thought out. But they are your opinions and I will respect them even if they are way off base.

Dude,your young yet.Be patient:wink:

My only concern at this point is durability of the guys back there. To this point they have not impressed me at all. Imagine when they're really hitting out there during the regular season.

...

I WOULD BE LYING TO SAY THAT IT DOESN'T CONCERN ME, BUT I ALSO KNOW IT IS TOO EARLY TO PANIC. EVERY TEAM HAS IT'S WEEKNESS. THATS TODAYS NFL. YOU NEED LUCK AND HEALTH ON YOUR SIDE.

Our depth is going downhill due to injuries, but overall, our starters are good to go. They were very solid against the Jags, so as long as the depth makes some improvements prior to the start of the regualr season, I think we'll be alright....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

Yep, when the starters are healthy we can more than hold our own at the saftey and cb positions. Its about health. We just need to get healthy. Outside of Poole nothing too serious.

By the way I rewatched my TIVO recording of Sat. game. After a second look Goodman was good. He held his own well and no noticeable mistakes. I am keeping an eye on him during the preseason since I did not know much about him before he became a Dolphin.

If there is a worry I would point out Le Jeune. He had a bad game and at times on a few plays he looked lost or out of position. Not the type of player I remembered when he was at LSU. He is one who does need to step it up.
