Are we the top Receiving group in the league?

as the season wears on, let's hope we are worthy of being in the discussion of "top receiving groups" in the league.

We are at the point where we can definitely be near the top if all play as expected and hoped.

The main thing to remember is that our WR group was stinkie balinky last year. We were slow and predictable.

In one season we managed to turn it into a stud fest, with more time to throw, and more aggressive playbook. Huge win.

It’s like we sent our WR group to one of those TV makeover shows. Entering with a scraggly beard , wearing sweatpants......Emerging clean-shaven and in an Armani suit
I love your analogy!

I will say this, by adding Fuller(4.32 speed) and a heathy Waddle(4.27 speed- i’m basing that off the YouTube video of him racing Henry Ruggs), we probably have the fastest starting caliber WR duos in the league now! This could radically change the passing options for Parker and Gesicki that none of us have been privileged to see yet because of the addition of these two burners at wide receiver. As a result of this, Parker and Gesicki will face single man coverage by DBs who are decidedly smaller in stature.

and like 14 less people in the box for whoever tua hands the ball off to!

True. But with Fuller and Waddle onboard, his workload could cut in half. No longer alpha. Good chance he will have a healthy season.

Getting a few plays off to stay fresh in-game/in-season could probably do him well.

That said, he's 28 years old and making $12M in 2021, the 3rd highest cap hit on the team. He really shouldn't need his workload cut in half at this point in his career.

Yet to be seen. They have to stay healthy and prove it on the field. If they all can stay healthy then I think they have the talent to be top 10 maybe top 5. Not sure about being the best though but I hope they turn out to be.

Not a DB in the league could guard Parker when he was healthy. He schooled Gilmore.

…and yes, he is not great a separation - however, he still did well….except for the last Bills game.

Wilson was league leader in YAC when he was healthy.

Preston looked like an up and comer when he was healthy.

I think we will be a top 3 group when healthy.

BTW, does really Dallas have a top WR group? I never watch them, but I also never hear about the Dallas WR's…at all.

Yeah Dallas is definitely better. Lamb and Cooper is better than anyone we have for sure..Hopefully Waddle ends up being that kind of receiver for us

Coop, Gallup, Lamb is a pretty amazing trio.

Are we the top Receiving group in the league?

We have speedster Fuller at one side, jump ball specialist Parker at the other. Pure burner Waddle rotating between slot and boundary, Gesicke going down the middle. Occasionally surprise the defense with two TE set with sending both TE to route.

I can’t name another team has WR group that can match us? Not in terms of talent, not in terms of capable receivers cover all the short, medium, and deep areas of the field.

I can’t think of any? Not even KC…
Lol. Thats a no. Kc is tops as long hill and that beast of a TE is healthy

No and it’s not close.
Parker is often injured and has disappeared in games. Super talented guy but he’s only put it together once since he arrived in the league.

Williams like Parker, can’t stay healthy. Preston looks good and had Chemistry with Tua before the injury. I have a saying in my line of work, it doesn’t matter how good of a worker you are, if your always calling out your out of a job.

Wilson is a big ??? Right now, how’s he look after sitting out a whole year.

Hurns is in the same boat as Wilson, how are you going to look after sitting out an entire year. And before anyone says they probably have been working out, anyone with knowledge can tell you being in shape, and being in game shape are 2 different beast.

Grant is a possible cut IMO, they drafted 2 guys who have spent considerable time returning kicks. Not to mention he couldn’t catch a cold in an ice storm.

Waddle is a guy I’m super excited about, he’s fast, he can catch and he has rapport with Tua.

Fuller is the deep threat they were hoping stone hands Grant would be. Can we for real just cut Grant. I don’t wanna see him running route drills again when he needs the damn ball jug.

to conclude, there’s lots of talent and things to be excited about. But every single one of our WRs needs to prove themselves, ain’t no Julios or Tyrekes here........ yet
