Armando: Feeling among team sources, changes of significance coming

ross is a moron when it comes to this team. i am 100 percent for firing ireland but how can young frankenstein, i mean philbin get a free pass here? he has done an awful job this year. this team plays with no emotion, comes out flat week after week and lets not forget a bunch of good players were jettisoned because they werent philbin guys. tell me why he was hired again? an o coordinator who didnt even call the plays and that qualifies him to be a hc?

Ireland Fired
Sherman steps down
Joe stays

Ross forces a shotgun marriage with Philbin
Philbin hires a second tier OC because he is a lame duck

We are worse off IMO.

I did not want a major house cleaning...though I have issues with Joe. I am not sure if I am going back on that.

1. fire jeff

2. lift the curse...dump the goofy hillbilly touchdown song

Ireland will be sacrificed. People will be happy, but it will not change anything.

Mando's last paragraph was right on. The talent was fine at 8-6 and charging toward a playoff birth. They choke the last two....and now the talent sucks?

I am not an Ireland guy, but I feel for somewhat.

Yes. Because we didnt just choke the last 2 weeks. We lost, or choked, as many games as we won this year. Our record shows we are mediocre, which is exactly what the vast majority of the talent on this roster is. The 4 consecutive losing seasons before this one only add weight to the "mediocre" claim.

Sure, we beat some good teams this year. But we also got our ass handed to us by some terrible teams. That inconsistency speaks to talent.

To be fair, our coaching is pretty piss poor as well.

As for the subject of the thread: i'll believe it when i see it. I've heard this all before when it comes to this regime. 10 to 1 says Ross makes some cosmetic changes- gives Ireland some empty title or "demotion", has Philbin answer directly to the owner, Dawn Aponte gets a "promotion". Something of that nature. But he keeps on paying the same incompetent morons.

I said it in the game thread and I'll repeat it here:

I'll tell you, if I'm Ross and I paid out 110 million in new contracts, had five picks in the first three rounds - and the best this front office and coaching staff can muster is 8-8 I absolutely clean house. Everyone goes. Everyone.

Can I make this my signature?

I don't feel bad for Ireland. He is a ****ty gm period. If we upgrade the gm then will probably change the coaching staff as well.

There is a difference between raw talent and ability to digest a game plan and apply it on the field. These past 2 games tells me that the team doesn't fully buy into what Philbin is saying and he has zero ability to motivate a team that had the damn playoffs locked up on a silver platter going into the buffalo game. The fact that these guys were flat tells me a ton about this team. Something stinks in Miami and has for a very long time.

It is not any coaches job to motivate the players. They are grown men, not pee wee's. These guys get paid to work, just like everyone else. If a shot at the playoffs isn't motivation, I don't know what is. If they are not self motivated at this point in their lives, then they shouldn't be playing. There is no win one for the Gipper here, pep talks are for amateurs, not professionals. That motivation you speak of is highly overrated and not the responsibility of the coach.

Why do you think the fight song is cursed?

it's complicated, the curse involves csonka, kiick and warfield going to the WFL, but technically the miami dolphins are not #1 and haven't been since 74.

and it just hokey too
