Armando: "Miami Dolphins in trade-down mode"

If they move back 8 slots I draft Weeden at that point without giving up anything. Cleveland is a serious threat to take Weeden at 22 and I don't risk that happening. That gives you 5 picks in the top 73.

I still strongly suspect the most interesting first round poker game is between us and Cleveland for Weeden.

The way a lot of people will pitch it after we take Weeden on a trade down is that we missed on Tannehill so had to panic and take the next-best on our board. I wouldn't be surprised if Weeden was higher. It would make for some REAL fireworks if we actually chose Weeden while Tannehill was still on the board. If Tannehill's off the board by 12 or 13, and we're picking in the teens after a trade, look for Cleveland to think about getting back in front of us.

Tannehill could plummet to the 40-50th pick range if Miami passes or trades down. Miami is the only reason that Tannehill is being speculated as a 1st round pick. He's all hype and it's all centered around Miami.

Completely agree...unfortunetley it has to be us that are being associated in getting suckered...I havent heard any other team out there wanting Tannehill

That Armando he really goes out on huge limb. I means he's such a risk taker.

Excellent point. Im hoping we get Weeden somewhere in this draft without reaching....but we dont want to get into a poker match with the browns as they have more chips then we do

I beleive a trade down with Seattle or Dallas would work I do not see us getting more than a 2nd plus a later but not a 3rd for that trade option. Tanniel and Couple both Miami targets could very well be on the board then too. Both have downsides to be busts so if I were Ireland and they were my targets I would try and trade down and get some extra insurance in terms of picks for take the gamble. Worst case senario at 12-14 you get a Floyd, Ingram and yes a highly rated OL.

I would be all for a extra second round pick if our past selections in that round weren't so bad!

For all the obsession over the Safety position the past few years, Bell being gone, im surprised more people on here are not talking about taking Barron, I do believe Miami has enough players on the current roster to compete for the safety spots, but Barron would likely be a plug and play and would defiently help having Coyle

All depends on where we trade down to. Trade down to 14 with Dallas for example, Tannehill comes off the board at 11, 12, or 13, and Cleveland barely has any space to try to jump in front of us. If Tannehill doesn't come off the board, then I don't think Cleveland makes the move because they will think we will take Tannehill over Weeden. They want Weeden over Tannehill.

However, we trade down to say, 17-19, and Tannehill comes off the board, Cleveland will absolutely jump us. If Tannehill is still on the board, I think they will not try to jump us.

If you want Weeden and you think there's a chance Miami's guy is Weeden, then you want Tannehill to stay on the board as long as possible.

No matter what they do, it will get spun negatively by the media. I do think if Tannehill falls to 22 and both he and Weeden are on the board, the Browns take Weeden.

let's get a first rounder next year from a team that ends up sucking. i would like to be in the catbird seat next year with our own number one plus a top 5 pick, and i am willing to wait. :)
