Well compared to most undrafted free agents, I think Vick deserves a shot at a rookie mini camp, hell worse QB prospects have been drafted than Marcus. If you say he did not deserve top be drafted that may be somewhat true, but to say he does not deserve an invite to a rookie minicamp with no contract that is absurd. This guy was the all ACC QB so he is deemed better than some Qb's that played for top level teams in that conference. He did as much as our recently signed UDFA rookie Justin Holland if not more and I see no one bitching that he does not deserve a shot.

The difference is Justin Holland doesn't have a criminal history like Marcus Vick. Without that Vick name, he wouldn't have merited an invite to our camp, or any other, teams would not have touched him, and he probably wouldn't be getting a look as a quarterback if not for the name. His quarterbacking skills are worse then his brother Michael's, and Michael Vick has never achieved a quarterback efficiency rating equal to even David Carr's best QER, and poor Carr has only played behind one of the worst offensive lines in NFL history.

His criminal history is filled with misdemeanors and some false accusations. He is far from a choir boy, but his name is not getting him an invite. He is a better player on the field than many that were drafted and we can kid ourselves about that all we want. People who have done worse such as Lawrence Phillips and Cecil collins were drafted and they were not any bodies brother. Whether his skills are as good as his brother's is a totally differant question. if saban brought him in because his name is Vick than Saban is not as bright as many think. There are players who have a worse criminal history than Vick who have been given chances.

He was charged with pulling a gun on a teenager, and was arrested for going 21 mph over the posted speed limit in a car that reeked of marijuana, the former is anti-social behavior, the latter could have resulted in a lot worse, like a Leonard Little episode. He was charged with a misdemeanor pistol brandishing and those counts were dropped to a plea of disorderly conduct. We have sped at one time and I don't condone it but Will poole had a DUI and I don't see us bashing him. I don't recall Vick being charged with a DuI just speeding. One of the so called teenagers he supposedly pulled a gun on was a guy that has now been charged with a couple of felonies. This was the level of witness that charged him. Vick had a draftable grade on talent but him being suspended and all the scrutiny made him undraftable. Im not a vick fan but there is alot of misinformation out there on him and his troubles have been very overblown. Hell we elect a guy as President with multiple DuI's and Vick will destroy the Dolphin's as we know it lol.
